RP Hooks

  • High society: Apricity is known in Gilneas and Stormwind high society, and there, many a fight have been started for his pretty eyes.
  • Romance: Whether real or not, casual or not, but mostly casual, Apricity is very open to games of seduction. Many of the characters he could have met in the past could have been flirted with.
  • Generosity: Apricity has developed the habit of sharing a lot of gold with people who need it. Orphans, homeless people… if any would ask, he is more than willing to give.

Appearance

Apricity is a lean young man. His skin is white, and his hair is kept rather short and tidy. He has a beard he keeps short, and is slightly hairy. The Gilnean is rather tall and takes good care of his appearance, only wearing well-tailored and elegant clothes.

Personality

Apricity appears to be a charming, well-mannered young man at first, but he's got one big secret: he lives for the drama. Life in civilized society can get boring - you need to find fun wherever you can. Whenever he can, he sows seeds of chaos, seducing one person and another, hoping for them to start fighting, or saying the wrong thing about someone to someone else. If it can be used to stir the pot, Apricity will not keep a secret. The thing is, that man is also pretty good at batting his eyelashes and pretending everything was completely out of his control, and that he doesn't understand what went wrong!

Even without trying to cause problems, Apricity is still quite flirtatious, and won't hesitate to hit on those around him.

Apricity is used to a life of luxury, enjoying the finest foods, living a life of comfort away from mud, dirt, and crass. He secretly looks down upon those who don't mind it.

After the isolation of Gilneas, his family business, wool, has taken a hit due to the impossibility of exporting the goods to the rest of the human kingdoms. He couldn't spend as much gold excessively as he used to. Ever since, he has discovered compassion, a kinship for the poorer of his society. Due to that, Apricity is now a lot more financially generous. Oh you poor needy, you're hungry? Here, take my coins. I mean, it's one banana, what could it cost? Ten gold coins?

History

Apricity was born into the Hearthleigh family, rich merchants who got rich from exporting the finest wool of Gilneas to the rest of the human kingdoms. Thanks to his grandfather's business sense, and his father being next in line to take over the family business, Apricity never had to worry about his future. The young man used parties and garments to tastefully display his wealth for all to see. Charming but bored by high society's tameness, he used his charisma to seduce people around him, before turning them against each other.

His uncle married into the Spellbond family of Stormwind, which made Apricity frequent many Stormwind nobles as well. His habit of creating drama wherever he went was exported there as well.

He was in Gilneas when the decision to isolate the country was made. The Hearthleigh business took a hit from that isolation, but it still makes money from selling wool all throughout Gilneas. With the family's immense wealth they had accumulated before then, Apricity isn't living at risk of poverty anyway. However, he did have to cut back on his expenses, and now sees a kinship with the poor of his country. He's more than happy to share some of his gold with them, as he thinks he knows now what poverty is.

Relationships

Gellarn
"Hm, I've exchanged sweet words with that one in the past. Nothing more than that. Too bad, because I can certainly appreciate his physique."
Who?
"Ah yes, that investigator. I will gladly tell you what I told her; I have no means to control what people feel for me, and if they begin fighting because of it, there's nothing I can do. She doesn't seem to believe me, though."
Aunt Ekorenine
"My, what an insufferable goody-two-shoe that one was. Truthfully, regardless of all its flaws, that wall had the Light-sent side effect of keeping that woman and her family away from me."
Cousin Gausanders
"The adopted child of the Spellbond family. Whiny, eccentric, and let's be honest, not the brightest. And always stuck to that dwarf he considered a brother. Whenever he wasn't, though, I'd gotten into the habit of breaking something and blaming it on him. Eh, worked like a charm every time."
