RP Hooks

Arcane stuff: Gru'ze is extremely interested in the Arcane. Its frost and fire applications, he's got them down perfectly, but he struggles more with everything that's pure arcane. His version of Arcane magic is ancient and can be a little different from what "modern" magic is.

Kirin Tor: Dalaran. The Kirin Tor. All your knowledge. Let him in. Let him iiiiiiiiiiiin.

Undeath: He despises the undead. Forsaken and Death Knight come have fun hating him!

Warlocks: Gru'ze has no interest in being a warlock. He's done some pretty dark magic before it was forbidden by the Horde. He certainly won't judge someone who uses the Fel! He's just curious about how this all works.

Appearance

Gru'ze is a tall troll with light blue skin and a green mohawk. His limbs are long, and there isn't much muscle mass on his body, giving him a very slender, almost sickly, appearance. This contrast with his long, strong tusks, giving him a more aggressive appearance.

The air is cold around him, and the temperature difference is clear when looking at the frost covering the tip of his ears, tusks, and hair.

Personality

Gru'ze is surprisingly serious and intense. When he sets his mind on something, the troll becomes relentless, sometimes missing the bigger picture once he has an idea. He's extremely protective of orcs and trolls, especially his family. This single-mindedness also makes him rather quiet, if the discussions around him do not pertain to one of his interests.

There's a cunning side to Gru'ze, often preferring to trick an enemy than to fight them honorably. He has no issue being cruel, too, and this makes him a quite fearsome foe, as well as allies. Nevertheless, outside of battle, or when taken by surprise, Gru'ze is more skittish, regardless of the Troll's incredible regenerative abilities. This is due, in part, to his clear dislike of physical touch.

His magic is pretty similar to other mages of Azeroth, however, it has a spiritual twist to it, as he believes the sigils he traces are symbols of worship to the loa. He is also certain other races like the elves and humans, by extension, has stolen these symbols from the trolls, making them distrustful of them. His arcane magic also includes sacrifices and some gestures looking almost like dances.

Gru'ze is currently obsessed with the Kirin Tor, looking for a way into their archives… legally or not.

History

Gru'ze grew up in a big Darkspears family of fighters, all being trained in the art of war, whether with a weapon or voodoo. All of them would use their strength and cunning to ensure the survival of their tribe for years. Growing up, it was clear that Gru'ze was hindered by his weaker constitution compared to his younger brothers and sisters, making him more suited to a more mystical path than a physical one. Thanks to ancient tablets made by the Loa Zanza, Gru'ze was able to learn some of the secrets of Arcane magic, more specifically, frost magic. His specific magic mixes elements of voodoo like sacrifices, and symbols surprisingly reminiscent of the ones used by humans and elves.

Gru'ze's family followed Sen'jin to Kalimdor, joining the Horde in their fight, fiercely loyal to the Orcs to this day.

Thanks to his prowess in magic, Gru'ze has been recognized by his tribe, and he accompanies the envoy sent to the Zandalari Empire every six years. He uses this opportunity to exchange information on the Arcane with mages of the empire.

Nevertheless, the last time he went, Gru'ze began to run out of information to give to his colleagues. Afraid of losing this opportunity in the coming years, the troll obsesses over Dalaran and its Kirin Tor, wanting to learn of the organization's deepest secrets and wishing to find access to their research.
