RP Hooks

Any gnome from any point might know her, know of her, or have seen her. They might have been fed by her ("Muffin, dear?") or saved by her or had to save a tiny ancient gnome from a trogg.

Dwarves, too, might know her, for many of the same reasons.

Be aware, though, that almost no one knows her name. If you think your character would, let's chat! It could be fun!

Appearance

Even for a gnome, Granny is tiny. Gravity gets to even the littlest, it seems, and she's likely shrunk a bit from her prime. If she's 3', she's probably standing on something. Still, her big blue eyes seem clear and bright, and her focus is as sharp as it ever was. Whatever color her hair was originally, it's silver-white these days, and she keeps it piled high, held with metal clasps and bands until the hair doubles her height. She is always wearing a shawl, and always carrying a staff.

Personality

They probably invented the word 'irascible' to describe Granny. Though not always angry, she has very little patience with, well, everything. Mostly she seems weary, aside from these flashfire bits of temper. She is quite forgetful at times, and at other times she's still the genius she claims she always was. Maybe don't remind her of things she seems to have forgotten. She hasn't forgotten her fireball spell.

History

Don't ask her how old she is; she doesn't remember.

Don't ask her what her name is; she doesn't bother with it.

She is Granny to you, and it's recommended you just go with it.

She's simply one of those old gnomes who seems to have always been around. She might not be able to recount all of her adventures as they happened, she might forget a war or so, but she will recount moments from the dwarven civil war as though she were there as a child. Is she making it up? Maybe.

What is known is that she was a front-line fighter during the second war and there are many reports of her gleefully assisting in transporting explosives and traps, or just outright blowing orcs to smithereens. There may have been cackling.

During one of the initial trogg attacks, Granny was injured by falling debris from a tunnel as troggs erupted into the gnomish capital. She was evacuated and taken to Ironforge for treatment while the others returned to fight. Given her age and injuries, extensive measures were taken to keep her out of the fight. Sadly, it also took the fight out of her, and she has been largely passive, content to sit on the porch of her little apartment, rock in her chair, and chew on an unlit pipe stem.

Only recently has she begun to reclaim some of her spirit. As the news from around Azeroth continues to worsen, she has become less content to sit and stare, and more determined to do something, more resolute in her refusal to be left behind in safety while others fight.
