RP Hooks
- Finnegan is a freelance troublemaker… Or so he'd like you to believe. That is what most people believe.
- In reality, Finnegan is a Grand Master of the Assassin's League of Ravenholdt Manor, one of the few. He is utterly devoted to the bipartisan, 'neutral' organization. Every other faction is secondary, even that of his own homeland, although it holds a special place in his heart.
Appearance
Finnegan is of average gnomish height. He is leanly muscled, with very little body fat, and is covered in a vast array of unique and varied scars.
His hair is ashy black and always tamed into a neat parted curl. His van dyke is springy, and has been tamed with mustache wax for decades to obey him with a crisp readiness.
His eyes are a bright crystalline blue, and seem both keen and warm.
Personality
Adventurous ⬥ Fascinated ⬥ Sharp ⬥ Eccentric
- Finnegan has an open mind and a yearning for action. He is quick to try new things, to experiment and has a lifelong penchant for finding himself in highly dangerous and venturesome situations.
- Finnegan doesn't necessarily have feelings so much as he has fascinations. He is endlessly curious about the world, its people, and just what makes them tick, especially when it comes to who they are on the inside.
- Finnegan is almost always immaculately dressed. He spends a great deal of time managing his own physical appearance, and wardrobe. Additionally, he is a keen observer, and is swift to learn.
- Finnegan is eccentric. His tastes and proclivities can often seem contradictory, and he is deeply drawn to the strange, the unusual, and the unique. He obsesses over the extraordinary and bizarre.
History
Finnegan, and his identical twin brother, Sterco, were born in Gnomeregan over a century ago.
Their father was a leading astronomer, and their mother was a professional glass designer. Their union was initially one of pure practicality and science, but after the birth of their sons, it become more affectionate and slightly irrational. Unfortunately, their father was later killed when one of his gigantic telescopes fell and landed on top of him.
After the siege of Gnomeregan was broken, Finnegan and Sterco became sky engine pilots, and fought bravely in the Second War, making a name for themselves.
When the Sons of Lothar were preparing to invade Draeneor, Sterco and Finnegan flipped a coin to decide which of the two would embark on the enterprise, and which would stay to look after their ailing mother.
Sterco ventured through the Dark Portal, and fought valiantly with the Sons of Lothar. He went on to form and train the Sha'tari Skyguard, and was later killed in defense of Shattrath.
After the Second War, Finnegan kept in touch with his mother while going on a soul-searching trip to find himself and learn more about the vast, unexplored world of the Eastern Kingdoms. It was around this time that he earned the name 'Sharpgear.' It is believed that on this trip he ran across associates of The Manor, and the rest his history.
He returned to fight in the Trogg Wars as a militia member, and narrowly saved his aging mother from the radiation brought on by the traitor Sicco Thermaplugg.
Relationships
| Tadget Sharpgear Fascinating Wife. Finnegan found Tadget 'curious' ever since their initial meeting in the Valley of Kings. He found her so curious, in fact, that he decided to procreate with and marry her, giving her his last name. He thinks it fits her. |
