RP Hooks

  • Nosy Reporter: Don't worry. He'll come to you.
  • Azerothian Interest, Main Writer: Maybe you're a fan? (Wink)
  • Connections: Someone must be funding him. Furnishing him with information. Giving him access to otherwise restricted things. Who? Why?

Appearance

Just an ordinary reporter in ordinary clothes. He wears a hat to cover his hair. He does have hair under that…right?

Personality

Outgoing, pushy, and eccentric. Is he a liar? Maybe. Is it for the greater good? He thinks so. Secretly, he is a nerd.

Those who get to know him may notice a darker side to him; a hand ever grasping for power. It is no surprise he was drawn to the path of the warlock, but where will that path lead him?

History

Read his paper, maybe you'll learn a thing or two! Will it be accurate? Well…

Just kidding, here's his history:

Peril lived in Stormwind until it fell during Year 3 to the orcish Horde. His father was said to have died during an earlier engagement with them, leaving him, his mother, and younger brother to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, they did not escape with the rest of the refugees who fled to Lordaeron, instead fleeing into the nearby hills, where they were later found by a small raiding party.

Peril's mother sacrificed herself to dark powers to protect her sons, killing the orcs and apparently losing her mind in the process, leaving the boys alone. They later met up with other survivors, who looked after them until they could more properly fend for themselves.

After Stormwind was rebuilt, Peril began his working life selling news articles and papers on the streets to get by, and this sparked his interest in the written word. With some minor guidance here and there, (from strangers, employers, and his own inquisitive mind,) Peril learned to read and write, and began imagining himself as an author.

It was not until quite some time later that his talents were put to use and the Azerothian Interest sprang into being. Some love it, some hate it, but it has a way of grabbing attention, for better or worse.

Relationships

Lathrik Dinnsfield
You may have no reason to suspect, dear readers, that Lathrik is my brother, especially given his differing name and apparently stupid good looks, but I assure you, he is, in fact, my younger brother.
Nat K.W. (Natalyah)
A delightfully insightful expert in the lepidopterist world, and one whom I admire greatly. She may even be a fan of mine. I suspect she may someday become a sister-in-law, (kissing, dear readers, is a sign of affection,) but if I happen to be wrong, this is a reminder to have Milo plan Lathrik and my funerals.
Fray Farrens
My father, every bit the wild warrior described in the stories we were told. Perhaps even wilder, dear readers, after the years spent chasing after our mother. I didn't think I cared, growing up without him, but having him around is strangely reassuring, if not also exhausting at times.
