RP Hooks

  • Street Trash If you were running the streets and/or might have contact with some of the urchins on Gilneas's streets, you might have known Zeke before he joined the navy.
  • Navy If you know the Gilnean navy, there's a slight chance you knew Zeke as a scruffy cabin boy aboard The Nightwitch.

Appearance

Zeke remains scruffy and slightly ill-kempt, no matter how hard he tries otherwise. He doesn't usually try. He has dark eyes and dark hair, and perpetually has a 5 o'clock shadow, even at noon. He usually wears his shirt sleeves rolled up, revealing strong forearms and rough, work-hardened hands.

Personality

Feral • Loyal • Curious • Confident

It's no stretch to see that Zeke's a Worgen; the feral attitude shows through. He bristles at every perceived slight and he's gruff when he's not silent and watchful. He prefers standing to sitting, and his eyes seem to catch every flicker of movement around him.

But for those who manage to get close, Zeke is protective, fierce, and gentle. He is loyal beyond logic, once he's accepted someone as family. This leaves him open for abuse but he simply ignores the potential. He is unafraid of being hurt, certain that he will survive any damage that can be done to him.

You can also count on Zeke into getting into scrapes just because he's incapable of keeping his nose in his own business. He always wants to know what's in the box, what's behind the door, what's over the hill.

History

Zeke barely knew his parents. His father walked out on the family and his mother had little time to rein in Zeke's energy and curiosity while trying to raise his siblings. Mostly, Zeke lived on the streets, running errands for a copper chip or stealing from carts to feed himself. For a short time, from the age of 6 until he was 9 or 10, he ran with a crew of other street urchins headed by a man named Gaffen. He provided a place to stay and food, if the kids brought him stolen goods that were worth the crash pad. They were not the family he yearned for; though they shared their takings and ganged up to take on larger kids to steal from them, they were not close.

Except Zeke and Adam. Adam was the eldest of the gang, and Zeke worshipped him. Adam forced some modicum of fairness onto the kids, making sure everyone got some food, some clothing, shared out equally. When Adam was captured, his sentence was to be pressed into service in the Navy. Zeke refused to be left behind, and managed to get a position as a cabin boy on the same ship.

At 12(ish, Zeke doesn't quite know his real age), Zeke was on shore leave. That would be the last night he served on a ship.

Relationships

Gabriella Thorne
Gabriella protected Zeke from the worst of the guards. He never understood quite why this lady was so nice to him and to the kids Zeke ran with. When Adam got pinched and sent off to serve his sentence in the navy, Gabriella managed to get Zeke a berth as a cabin boy on the same ship. He's still not sure why.
Oslynn Boles
Zeke and Oslynn ran around the streets of Gilneas as kids. She led him into trouble more often than not, but she also knew where to nick the best food.
Lukas Rhenardt
Rhenardt practically raised Zeke. Not only is Rhenardt Zeke's packleader, but he's Zeke's father figure. Zeke's loyalty and obedience to Rhenardt is unquestionable.
