RP Hooks

  • Courier: Estel is a courier and can deliver packages or sensitive mail.
  • Alchemist: Estel works in the Cobalt Clinic in Ironforge as Niris' apprentice and assistant.
  • Hungry: She will never turn down free food.
  • Ravenholdt: Estel's partner is a Ravenholdt assassin, and she had a presence there in the past as one of the healers. She has connections. She knows their codes.
  • Friendly: Estel is the type of person to approach a complete stranger.

Appearance

At first glance, Estel might not look her age. She has a petite, delicate build, with slim fingers and youthful facial features. She stands five feet and four inches tall. Her eyes are violet, bright, and alert. Her black hair is parted perfectly down the center and kept trimmed short just below her chin, so as to be out of her way when she's fighting. Her voice is slightly low-pitched, and she frequently slurs some of her words together when she speaks in an almost lazy manner.

Personality

Compassionate ◆ Faithful ◆ Persistent ◆ Intuitive

Estel, having escaped the circumstances of her youth through sheer luck and kindness, does what she can to spread that kindness when she has the means to. She has a soft spot for orphans, outcasts, runts, and those who remind her of herself as a child. She believes she has good instincts about people, and once she selects someone as a friend, it takes a lot for her to turn her back on them. Although Estel struggles to see the larger picture, she is capable of caring deeply about the fates of individuals; the best way to turn her towards or against a cause is to introduce her to its victims.

For a priestess, she is not particularly faithful to that which gives her power - the Light exists as a tool to be used, just like Shadow does. There's a playful irreverence to her own prayers, but she will never insult anyone else's faith. What she has faith in is people themselves.

History

BIRTHDAY: MAY 18, YEAR -1

The part that she tells people about: she was left on the steps of what is now the Scarlet Monastery as an infant. It was a lot less scarlet and a lot less zealous back in the day. She was raised primarily by a pair of priestesses who each had their own conflicting opinions on what sort of magic Estel should focus on. At some point, Estel got fed up and ran away.

She doesn't typically volunteer much information about what happened between then and now.

She joined Cobalt Company in Year 25, quickly taking up a position as Niris' assistant. When Niris started the Cobalt Clinic, Estel became one of her employees.

Late in Year 26, while a new and deadly plague was hitting the streets, Almeiria Fey came to the clinic in Ironforge seeming stressed and overwhelmed with two infant children at home, and Ismene offered some daycare - there would be a place for them to stay at in Hillsbrad. In early Year 27, when Ismene and Ben were both to ship off to Northrend and Almeiria had fallen out of contact, Estel took over raising the two young children, Micah and Miranda. She spent almost a year as their only caregiver before she was finally able to get in touch with their mothers again.
