Appearance

Strong and solid with clear skin of pale blue-grey and an intense gaze. She typically wears her sleek, black hair in pigtails that mimic her arching horns. She sees her own body as a well-conditioned tool and work of personal art, and she cares for it accordingly.

Personality

Faithful - Demonstrative - Playful - Assertive

On the surface, Erixa is an outgoing and opinionated, but cheerful and affectionate, person. She tends to try to lighten or defuse tense situations with humor. She is fond of being around other people, and by default will assume a new acquaintance is a worthy friend unless there's good reason to believe otherwise (like, you know, they're an orc). She is deeply loyal to Prophet Velen and (most of) the Naaru, though she will insist she does not follow blindly - she follows them because they are right.

She has typically met people on Azeroth through participating in missions together, which ties in with her general tendency to seek out physical activities for vocation and hobbies - fighting, dancing, acrobatics. Her identity as a vindicator and her connection to the Light is central part of her self-concept, and she also values the strength that comes with righteous anger.

Erixa is typically interested in women. Her romantic history is entirely with draenei, but she is adventurous enough to attempt romance with other races. Erixa can be romanced casually or seriously, but the serious option would require a lot of time and trust.

Casually, Erixa is likely to engage in romantic activities in an undemanding friendly manner. She likes physical affection, and is likely to be a light-hearted, cheerful partner.

She is not likely to intentionally start a serious romance. She will strive to keep everything as the above casual option, and will start pulling away emotionally if her partner tries to get closer. This does not stem from a lack of desire for a relationship, however, but rather a fear of being known and rejected. A potential suitor would have to be patient and persistent and willing to proceed casually for as long as it takes.

Erixa is attracted to courageous, hopeful people with a sense of humor (can be dark). She is not likely to be attracted to people who are cynical, critical of others, pessimistic, reticent or restrained.

History

At a little over a thousand years old, Erixa is considered relatively young by her people. She never knew Argus, and lived all her early life on the Genedar, fleeing from planet to planet. She believed Draenor would be their final refuge, until the conflict with the orcs. Those years of violence scarred her deeply. As much as she is unable to forgive the orcish people for the atrocities they committed, she is also unable to forgive herself for actions she had to take in desperate situations.

Early in the conflict came the betrayal and destruction of Telmor, where her brother and many people she knew were slain by orcs. The draenei retreated to Karabor and Shattrath under the onslaught. Erixa fought a losing battle at Karabor, where the orcs used the power of a darkened Naaru against them. Draenor was shattered into Outland by the orcs. Erixa retreated from Karabor with the surviving draenei to Shattrath, and then was ordered to abandon Shattrath to the orcs' slaughter. Hiding in the Zangarmarsh with the survivors of this latest tragedy, she was tasked with enforcing the exile of the Broken.

After approximately seventeen years in the Zangarmarsh, the Tempest Keep arrived, and Erixa followed Velen and others to take up residence in the dimensional fortress with the Naaru. This lasted for approximately another decade, until blood elves from Azeroth invaded the Tempest Keep and Erixa and others fled Draenor to crash on Azeroth in the Exodar.

+ Classic Vanilla

On Azeroth, Erixa quickly established connections to the natives (non-orcs, they are not native), and joined Cobalt Company. She engaged in a number of combat missions, including the uncovering of Onyxia, the killing of Nathanos Blightcaller, Briellen's recovering of a fallen paladin charger, and various missions in the Plaguelands.

+ The Burning Crusade

When Cobalt Company went to Outland, she resisted following for quite some time. Eventually, consultation with the naaru convinced her that she should help to stop the Legion there before they came to Azeroth. There, she assisted Cobalt Company members as needed for forays into the Tempest Keep, a place she knew well.

+ Wrath of the Lich King

When the call comes to go to Northrend, Erixa joins the Darkspear icebreaker on its journey to the Howling Fjord. In Northrend, Erixa gets more into diplomacy (with murlocs, for instance) and espionage (as a messenger), attempting to uncover spies from the Cult of the Damned or the Horde.

In the meantime, with the support of her friend (and former teacher) Paluuva, Erixa makes significant progress in addressing her own anger, and tentatively starts trying to reach beyond her us-and-them mentality. She assists in running a paladin support group, and even reaches out to those among the Ebon Blade she once knew.

Erixa is then promoted to be a Cobalt squad member in the Storm Peaks, where her diplomacy/espionage skills are put to use winning over the Hyldnir and then defusing their war with the frost giants. Her team assists Thorim, who is ultimately tricked by his brother Loken and abducted into Ulduar. Her team follows Loken into the Halls of Lightning and kills him, but Thorim is nowhere to be found.

When her team moves on, Erixa remains in the Storm Peaks, trying to find a way into Ulduar. During this time, she participates in the battle against the Nightmare, sleeping at Malfurion's request in the goblin town of K3. Eventually, she is abducted by iron dwarves and brought in to a gladiator arena to fight for the amusement of a mind-controlled Thorim. She is trapped here for over a week of constant battle, until a team from Cobalt Company, the Kirin Tor and the Explorer's League fight their way in and help Thorim break free of the mind control.

This experience shatters a number of Erixa's beliefs about herself, and leaves her uncertain if she even wants to be a vindicator anymore. She finds comfort in her draenei family and friends.

+ Cataclysm

After the cataclysm, Erixa decides to work on her espionage abilities once more and infiltrate the Twilight's Hammer. She has made some headway in connecting with the organization when a call comes for combatants to fight the orcs at Tol Barad. Given recent orcish aggression and her own biases, Erixa can't say no. On the way, her ship is dragged to the depths by a kraken. She's now trying to figure out what this path holds for her.
