RP Hooks
- Poor Little Rich Girl: House Aro'ephel is ludicrously wealthy and has been for generations. Elowel is her father's heir apparent, and as such he has pushed her hard her entire life to prepare her for the role. Rumor has it that recently he has expressed disappointment with her performance and has even cut off her allowance.
- Well-Traveled: Before the Third War, Elowel traveled all over the Eastern Kingdoms for many decades in various capacities.
- Celebrity: Elowel has earned some degree of fame for a variety of mostly unrelated accomplishments, including:
- Her status as an Aro'ephel.
- Her dueling tourney successes.
- Her reputation in acting circles as the Crimson Lady.
- Many affairs with other famous people (any of which may or may not be true, though she never strictly denies them).
- The slaying of Dar'Khan Drathir — a key component in the sin'dorei being accepted into the Horde.
- More recently, her creation and leadership of the Crimson Coterie, a rising mercenary guild in the Horde.
- Cobalt Player: Elowel was once one of the Cobalt Players, the acting troupe led by Elohad Ference. Though that relationship ended badly, she continued her acting career for a while (and never missed an opportunity to criticize one of Elohad's shows).
Appearance
Perfect. A little too perfect. Her golden blonde hair is always styled and repels water. Her smooth skin constantly maintains a healthy glow. Her nails never chip or break. Of course, she has magic to thank for enhancing her beauty and impossible maintenance of that enhancement throughout the day.
The sole standout of her features is her increasingly athletic form. She has always been fit, but she is beginning to put some noticeable muscle on her slender frame.
Personality
Elowel Aro'ephel is a vain, entitled, vapid, spoiled princess. At least, that's what most people who have met her would say. They would not be entirely wrong, but she is also guarded and very deliberate about the face she shows the world.
Like many of the sin'dorei people, Elowel is highly indulgent and prone to addictive behaviors. She can frequently be found at parties and social gatherings partaking of wine, bloodthistle, condensed mana, and various other luxuries and vices.
Though a Blood Knight, Elowel is hardly the selfless ideal one expects of a paladin. She is more concerned with appearing heroic and altruistic than actually walking the path of a hero.
Romance
History
Elowel Aro'ephel is known for many things. She is the heiress of one of the wealthiest families of Silvermoon (wealth that has played a significant role in the rebuilding of the city). She is the six-time champion and ten time finalist of the tri-annual Azeroth Dueling Championship. She earned accolades in the Cobalt Players acting troupe for her devastating powerful death scenes, earning the appellation "the Crimson Lady".
Her time in the Cobalt Players came to a dramatic end when she and the troupe leader, Elohad Ference, began to butt heads. Stories vary over what started the tension, but it rose to a breaking point and eventually she left (or was kicked out, depending who is telling the tale). The rivalry continued for many years, though as Elohad faded into obscurity, so too did their conflict.
With the rising fame of Cobalt Company, so too did Silvermoon rise from its own ashes, and Elowel along with it. Reinventing herself as a Blood Knight, she is earning new glory for herself and her people. But it isn't enough for this hungry elf. Not satisfied with what her house or the Blood Knights can offer her, she has begun to gather other adventurers and mercenaries of the Horde to create an elite group of operatives she calls the Crimson Coterie.
Some suggest this guild formed in direct response to the successes of the Cobalt Company; a resurrection of her dormant feud with Sir Elohad Ference. Other rumors are whispered that her standing in House Aro'ephel is not as certain as it once was, and this is a means of assuring a power base. In either case, for the time being the Coterie is functioning primarily as a fellowship for the mutual benefit of its members, sharing information and resources to lift one another up to make a stronger whole. It seems to be in line with the overall philosophy of the Horde, so this small mercenary company has yet to draw the attention of higher powers…for good or ill.
Relationships
Ephemel Aro'ephel Ah, my baby sister. Suuuch a drama queen. For all that she says she wants to avoid the limelight, she certainly seems to think the world should revolve around her selfish desires.
Quiniel Summerhawk Quiniel is a fellow Blood Knight assigned as Elowel's partner. Their relationship is…tense at times, but they are learning how to navigate one another. Despite being nearly polar opposites, Elowel has come to consider Quin a friend, if a tenuous one.
Geth Jadelight Geth is Elowel's partner-in-crime on the social scene. Never was there such a pair of incorrigible hedonists. Geth's disinterest in trying to romance or sleep with Elowel is precisely why she enjoys his company so much.
Kas Kas is surprisingly tolerable for a Farstrider. If I'm going to have a ranger's perspective on my council, this is the one I want. A man of few words, but he seems to mean exactly what he says. It is a surprisingly refreshing kind of honesty.
Syarra Sunstrike Of all my Hands, I know Syarra the least (and that's saying something, with Kas on the council). I knew people would think I'd lost it for taking on a death knight as an advisor, but half of them think I'm an idiot anyhow. I brought her on for her knowledge of the Scourge…and for the scandal it would cause. There is no such thing as bad publicity.
Elohad Ference The former leader of the Cobalt Players and Elowel's rival. Rumors abound about why the tension between them exists: she sabotaged his greatest show, he wrote her out said greatest show, they are bitter ex-lovers, etc.
Companions
Ascendant Elowel's blood knight steed is a stunning specimen of equine beauty, because she wouldn't have it any other way.
