Army Anyone who fought in the First or Second war may know Duragin as a lethal scout and true patriot of Ironforge. Someone not familiar with Duragin personally may know his brothers.
Forlorn Caverns Did you grow up here or spend a lot of time here? You may know Duragin or his family.
Appearance
Duragin has dirty blonde hair and the same colored beard, both long and worn in partial braids. He has kind blue eyes, but otherwise he rarely shows any emotion. Then again, with that beard who can tell? He is of typical dwarf build; that is to say, strong and stout with heavy muscle. He dresses mainly in furs and leather, both relatively unfinished. His furs look like they came straight off the animal with little processing beyond that needed to make them wearable. He is always armed with daggers, lacking the traditional dwarven hammer.
Personality
Reserved ⬥ Kind ⬥ Watchful ⬥ Clever
Duragin was a quiet child, a trait that hasn't changed into adulthood. He never speaks much, but when he does speak it is something thoughtful, funny, or both. His quiet ways may initially mask his soft heart, but his actions and words will always reveal it. His surname, Ironhide, was given to him due to the way little seems to affect him outwardly. Insults and worries seem to roll off him; any effect they do have, he keeps to himself.
That said, Duragin is a loyal son of Ironforge and is ruthless with her enemies. He has fought for her in years past, and will fight for her in the future whatever that future may bring.
History
Duragin was born into a poor family, growing up in the Forlorn Cavern with his mother, father, and two brothers. The brothers enlisted in the Ironforge guard at an early age to relieve the burden, but rarely saw their family thereafter. Duragin's mother was insistent that he, her youngest son, stay close to home. He therefore got the education most associated with the Forlorn Cavern; that of the shadows and hidden daggers.
With the coming of the First War, however, that changed. Against the wishes of his mother, he joined the fight against the forces of Ogrimm Doomhammer. His quickness of hand and stealthy aspect earned him a place with the scouts and saboteurs.
When the seige of Ironforge ended, Duragin was not content to go back to a life of relative quiet, and he enlisted in the army where he kept his role of scout. He had been serving in that capacity for some years when the death of his father brought him back to Ironforge. For his mother's sake, he agreed to remain by her side with only occasional forays out to do scouting work. Her recent death of old age has released him, but he finds army life too stifling for him and has begun to show an interest in some of the more famous mercenary companies to join.
