Appearance
Corvin is a young human man with unitdy blond hair and grey eyes. His dress is usually practical, prepared for fighting and hunting out of doors. He's fairly fit in build, from lots of physical activity. He has a general rough, masculine energy.
Personality
Curious • Restless • Sympathetic • Impressionable
Corvin forms feelings of kinship easily with others, and considerations of the good of the group often dictate his actions - whatever he decides 'the group' is at the moment. He was indoctrinated into a pro-Alterac mindset as a child and teenager, so he might have some odd ideas about the state of the human nations. His life with the Syndicate has led him to be oddly sheltered from new ideas, but that has only made him more curious about life in other parts of the world. Corvin doesn't like to stay still, and feels compelled to start trying to solve a problem once he's aware of it. He doesn't hesitate to act, when action is needed, and is confident in his abilities in unarmed and armed combat.
History
Corvin was born a year after the kingdom of Alterac betrayed the other human nations to the orcs, resulting in its own downfall after the humans proved victorious. Thus, in his living memory, his 'homeland' has not existed as a nation. He was born into a life of instability and chaos, with a people in constant threat from ogres, orcs, and even other humans due to his people's betrayal. His father died to an ogre when he was very young, and his mother raised him in Strahnbrad, which at the time was considered part of the northern kingdom of Lordaeron. This lasted until he was thirteen, when the defenseless town was raided by Blackrock orcs. Prince Arthas Menethil of Lordaeron arrived to save the inhabitants, but not until after many, including Corvin's mother, were killed.
Now young and on his own, Corvin fell in with the bandit group known as the Syndicate, identifying with their rage about the dissolution of their homeland and their treatment by the other human nations. He came of age among the brigands, and saw his actions as justified for protecting his new family. This situation lasted until early in the Year 28, when a Horde defector gave the Syndicate information vital to the Alliance, and Corvin learned that it would not be passed on. This information would result in the massacre of an entire town of innocent people, Southshore.
This did not sit well with Corvin, and slowly he began to take a new perspective of the Syndicate. He also realized that one does not simply leave the Syndicate. Thus, he had to bide his time and make a plan. When he was out on patrol in the mountains one day, he deserted and made his way over into Silverpine, planning to circle back to Southshore and offer himself up to deliver the warning. Fate would not allow it, unfortunately, as he was bitten by a feral worgen. Memories are hazy past that point.
Months later, he was captured by the druids that were assisting the worgen in recovering their minds and bodies. When he came to himself, he learned that it was far too late for any information he had to make a difference — Southshore had already been destroyed. He could not find it in himself to face this failure, so he just pretended to have memory loss and started trying to build a new life.
He took on an honest job with the worgen-owned Reeve merchant fleet, and that lasted until he was assigned a message-and-delivery task from port-to-port across the western land of Kalimdor. This journey put him in the thick of warfare between the Alliance and the Horde. Together with companions he met on the way, he found that he could now make a difference for those threatened by Horde aggression. When he arrived at the destination port, he was ready to leave the fleet and sign on with the Cobalt mercenary company.
