RP Hooks

Magisters: Did your character go to mage school with Coriene? Are they magisters together?

Silvermoon Nobility: Sin'dorei nobility is a social game, so anyone from a major or minor house may have encountered Cori at any number of social gatherings. Nobles of other species may also have made contact with her - she likes wide networks.

Arcane: Cori would not let politics prevent her from consulting with other mages on something arcane and interesting.

Appearance

Coriene Bloodsong has long, flowing red hair, eyes with the usual green glow of the sin'dorei, and fair skin. She's considered to be beautiful by many of her peers, and she knows it.

Coriene moves with a quiet confidence that is just as comfortable with praise as it is with fading into the background. She pays attention to fashion without being particularly flashy, and keeps herself perfectly groomed at all times.

Personality

Proud - Nerdy - Ambitious - Introverted

Coriene is highly aware of her societal standing and her family's prestige. She's accustomed to getting what she wants, and she typically knows what strings to pull or favors to call in to make something happen. She's as social as she needs to be to get things done, and generally does not prefer to be the center of attention. She is very difficult to shock.

On the professional side, she is very serious about her arcane studies, and is prone to getting intensely absorbed into her current focus. She enjoys working in solitude - other people do not make her nervous, exactly, but they can be so exhausting.

This character can be romanced.

History

Coriene Bloodsong is the oldest daughter of a long-established noble house in Silvermoon. Her parents, and their parents, and their parents were in the Magisters organization, and so is Coriene. She took to arcane studies with a natural talent that has seen her through to earning the title of Magistrix, and she has at this point surpassed her parents' reputation in the organization. This may in part be due to the fact that she is deeply interested in power, arcane or otherwise, and she does not neglect the part that can come from a well-cultivated social network. She is also a member of the Crimson Coterie, which she sees as yet another avenue towards power.

In her personal life, Coriene has not been so lucky in recent years. Her parents survived the Third War, but her father came dangerously close to becoming Wretched. Her mother largely retreated from public life to help him and keep it from becoming a scandal, and they left the leadership of the House to Cori. Her little sister Elivia, once an embarrassing smudge on the family name, recently became a blood knight and then was killed in action in the Plaguelands. Coriene is determined that the family will survive these minor setbacks and thrive in the cutthroat game of sin'dorei noble houses.

During the campaign in Northrend, Coriene was frustrated by the political orchestrations that led Quel'thalas to take part. She ultimately went to Dalaran to work alongside the Kirin Tor, with the intention of keeping an eye on the Sunreavers situation on behalf of the Magisters of Silvermoon. She took part in various military actions with the Kirin Tor, including the fight against Malygos and the Old God in Ulduar.

Now that the war against the Lich King is concluded, she is once more based in Silvermoon, though she is attempting to keep the links established during the war open. She is deeply frustrated by the recent behavior of the orcs and the forsaken, and regrets that Quel'thalas is bound by their reliance on the other Horde nations.

Relationships

Archmage Harrow
A quel'dorei mage in the Kirin Tor. Coriene does not think poorly of her.
Spellbond
A blind human mage in the Kirin Tor. She may have interesting books in her library.
Lady Aro'Ephel
Coriene joined her mercenary company. It seemed to be rising in prestige, and it's good to get into these things early.
Gethennis
Coriene finds him charming, but also a little too strict in his views of magic for her tastes.
Telemancer Whittle
A bright human mage in the Kirin Tor. Someone who is likely worth working with, though she seems a little timid to Coriene's sensibilities.
