RP Hooks

  • Boy's Name: Go ahead…make fun of her name. Dare you.
  • Ex-Con: Cori spent a short stint in the Stockade a few years back. Do you have connections among the convicts or guards there?
  • Professional Mercenary: In life Corduin was a merc by trade and made a bit of a name for herself as a brutal warrior who gets things done.

Appearance

Not particularly tall — rather short, in fact — but packed with layers of muscle. Darkened skin — once ruddy, now graven and grayish. Auburn hair usually tied back in a hasty ponytail.

Personality

Intense • Self-Assured • Susceptible • Uncomplicated

Corduin has a perpetual intensity about her. Though she no longer shows her emotions in passionate displays, there remains a cold severity just under the skin. When she unleashes that detached ferocity through violence, she is like a machine — merciless, uncompromising, unstoppable.

History

At 14, she watched as an orc warlock sacrificed her father’s soul to demons. Then it was her turn, but the ritual was interrupted midway by rescuers. Something happened to her, but whether it was only the emotional trauma or something far worse remains unanswered. She left for Stormwind with her mother and twin brother, Calduin. While Cal devoted himself to study, Cori lost herself in the streets of the city, getting into fights, drinking heavily, and associating with questionable people. It looked like she was getting on track when she enlisted in the army; she was considered a highly promising soldier with her great strength and gift for violence. However, her temper got the better of her too many times. Breaking her drill sergeant’s jaw was the final straw and earned her six months in the Stockade. After that she worked as a mercenary where she could, but honest work was scarce for someone with a reputation for being unhinged…and she wasn't sure about the not-so-honest work. She finally found some focus and a possible future with Cobalt Company, a mercenary company Calduin worked for.

It seemed that the heroic souls in Cobalt Company may have rubbed off on Corduin. When the situation in the Plaguelands worsened, she heard the call and could no longer turn away from her homeland. She went north to fight alongside the Argent Dawn, unleashing her berserker rage upon the Scourge. In the end, she died as she lived: giving everything she had and more.

Corduin was no great hero of the Alliance, but the Scourge took notice of the bloodthirsty berserker that gave them so much grief before they finally brought her low. Her body was claimed and delivered to Acherus where she was raised as one of a new breed of Death Knights.

In her new state of being, one thing was immediately obvious to Corduin — she could no longer feel her berserker rage. The thing inside her that the orc warlock had done to her was gone. Whatever else the Lich King had made her into, he had cured her. For that she could not help but feel some measure of gratitude.

Relationships

Calduin
Shared a womb. That's about as much as we got in common. He's still the other half of my soul, though. #$*@ with him and I'll rip your guts out through your %^*@ing *%#.
