Knowledge: Please tell him about stuff. Help him learn.
Massacre: He took part in a very dark moment in Highborne history. People may have questions or criticism on this.
Divination: As an astromancer, Cerethan uses the celestial bodies to predict events, see into the past, and cast arcane spells.
Appearance
Cerethan is a blue-gray skinned Highborne, with long white hair and a moustache. His face is square, with small, hooded eyes. His smile is more of a smirk.
He is lean, with a body surprisingly muscular for a mage. Always elegantly dressed with expensive jewelry and nails painted dark blue.
Personality
Hedonist ⬥ Investigative ⬥ Protective ⬥ Awkward
Cerethan likes his comfort, always thinking of what's best for himself. If not for his want to do better than in the past and to protect the Alliance, he'd never leave his comfort zone.
He's adept at magic and always strives to learn more. His desire for knowledge has pushed him to study many other aspects of life, like history and archeology. He specializes in astronomy and astromancy.
Nonetheless, all his knowledge hasn't helped him with his social skills, and Cerethan is rather socially inept. His attempt to hide it makes things even worse, and he may appear clumsy or mean.
Unfortunately, due to his past, Cerethan is extremely addicted to magic, and he can't go long without casting a spell, pulling the energy arcane from the sky above him.
History
Cerethan is born to Lord and Lady Starflight of Eldre'Thalas, centuries after the sundering. His family lived there, hidden from the rest of the Kaldorei. His parents were very well-versed in the Arcane arts, and Cerethan grew up learning from them. The Starflight were part of the elves feeding their magic addiction by siphoning Fel power.
Even powerful mages aren't immune to the effects of their spells, and Cerethan's father died in a magical accident.
When Tortheldrin decided to murder his fellow Shen'dralar to save their demonic source of magic, Cerethan participated in the massacre, thinking of his insatiable thirst for the Arcane for himself and his family. Once the bloodbath reached its end, Cerethan realized his mother died in the process.
Ever since, he kept to himself, studying the sky and the stars, pulling a little bit of arcane magic from it, haunted by the memories of this terrible event.
Once Cobalt Company raided Eldre'Thalas, Cerethan ran into the forest of Feralas and hid there with other members of the Shen'dralar. His addiction grew, as the remnants of magic there became rare.
After Malygos's death, Cerethan realized that the Arcane was much more present around him once more once again and he could feed off of it more fully. Slowly but surely, the Fel energies within him washed away.
Once the Shen'dralar were welcomed back by the Kaldorei and joined the Alliance, Cerethan realized two things: One, it was the perfect opportunity to learn more. To gather knowledge that his people had been cut off for so long. Two, it was time for him to redeem himself for the selfish massacre he'd participated in. He would be loyal to the Alliance, and fight for the good of all its people.
