Appearance

Briellen could have been considered a handsome woman once. She has sharp features, a strong jaw, and short black hair cropped just above her chin. She has light skin and kind brown eyes set in a face that somehow makes her look older than her actual age. There is an extremely prominent and visible scar that cuts diagonally across her face, beginning just above her left brow, crossing just under the bridge of her nose, and down past the right corner of her mouth to her jaw. She is five feet and ten inches tall and in incredibly good shape.

History

Born in Gilneas to a small and happy family, Briellen was a woodcutter's daughter who took an interest in stories of the Knights of the Silver Hand at a young age. When she came of age, she left home to join them and train as a paladin. She studied the teachings of the Libram of Compassion under Sir Gavinrad the Dire and trained diligently to become one of his Champions of Peace.

Dame Briellen Clay came very close to death on the day that Sir Gavinrad died, and she was forever marked by the event. She refused to accept the disbanding of the Knights of the Silver Hand, and as soon as it was an option, she joined the Argent Dawn and has been with them since shortly after their founding.

In the middle of Year 28, Sir Atley wrote her a letter that led Briellen to reunite with her little brother Thaniel and her parents, who made it out of Gilneas safely.
