RP Hooks
- Worgen Politics: Avrenne has been taking an active role in establishing the rights of worgens within the Alliance, and those looking for protection or clout to achieve worgen goals will find her a useful ally.
- Matchmaker: Avrenne has a reputation for forming connections between potential marriageable partnerships, and can often bridge large social, political, or physical gaps between two characters that should meet, but need a reason.
- Lordaeron Nobility: Avrenne and her family were well known, well placed, and extensive. Chances are you knew of them, if not any of them personally. Those of Lordaeron nobility or frequently visiting nobility have likely some tie to them, in one way or another. Avrenne as the third of her House was a dangling marriage option for much of her youth. Nobles of Lordaeron may have briefly courted her (to be rejected by her House).
- Political Reputation: Avrenne has a reputation of being cold, logical, sensible, and intelligent. Men and women both would be aware that she does not flirt. She is known unlikely to be moved by sentiment or feeling. She often appears to have no agenda of her own, offering up objective-seeming assessments rather than strong passions or controversial opinions. She has a wide web of connections, and powerful friendships. Someone looking to achieve political aims would want her as an ally.
- Stormwind House of Nobles: Married to a House member, Avrenne also has several significant relationships to various House members. She presents herself as a neutral politician, who will listen to well-reasoned arguments from all sides of issues. Those looking to try to pass legislation or affect political change may want her political pull and influence.
- The Flower Language: Avrenne is well versed in the old fad of a language of flowers (well enough to, by memory, write an entire Floriography). Those who know it, or who have an affinity for codes, will find a willing conversation partner and enthusiast.
Appearance
Avrenne was once described by a former suitor as a "series of rectangles." Her face is an elongated rectangle, her mouth is a small rectangle, her eyes are slanted rectangles, her bust line is…well. You get the idea.
At 5'1", she is petite, but her air of projection makes her often seem much taller…until you stand next to her. She has very dark brown eyes, and on rare occasions, sometimes they seem to almost have warm lights in them, or maybe that was just your imagination of a torch light reflection.
Her golden blonde hair reaches her midback but is usually caught up in a professional sleek chignon. Only those who are considered close enough to be family (or the family's servants) have seen her with her hair down.
Avrenne's Calendar
She is known for her expensive, well-made dresses that are clearly one of kind creations meant for her, many of which are statements or metaphors, and all of which project a certain air about this logical, professional business woman and diplomatic politician. They always have long sleeves and are always at least to her ankles.
Her mannerisms are controlled, and as composed as a picture, and she is widely regarded as cold and frigid. Her poise is a thing of legend, and few have ever seen her shaken from it.
Her voice is a very cultured noble Lordaeron accent (Headcanon: British RP accent), and neither high or low pitched for a woman, just something in between.
She can sing in an operatic way, but this is not well known. When she sings, she is a dark soprano, something that seems caught between high and low notes at the same time, and often described as a more matronly tone. Singing Voice Claim: Greta Bradman.
[Not widely known or visible: Avrenne has substantial scarring on her forearms from burns suffered during the Fall of Lordaeron. She always keeps her arms covered in public, even during the summer, and while some might wonder at it, her manner suggests that she is just really that buttoned up enough to not show much in public. Only a handful of people have seen the scars.]
Personality
Resolute • Resilient • Self-Contained • Sentimental
ALIGNMENT: NEUTRAL GOOD
Correct Formal Titles: Your Grace, Duchess Esprit, Lady Fallon
"Her Grace is a brilliant woman. Ye've never known a finer negotiator or diplomat, a lady with such a mathematical mind, a lady who's raised such a reputation for herself and guards it so well. Her Grace will cut a bargain so fine it would shame a goblin, and she'll write a plate-clad contract to seal it. Armies march on the supplies she arranges them, and she takes tea wi' the King." - Siamus Fallon
Avrenne is a woman with the weight of her responsibilities pressing down hard enough on her that it might explain why she's so short. A woman of sentiment deep inside, Avrenne presents a face that she believes will make people take her seriously as a Power: cold, composed, and impervious. Those who spend more time with her often see peeks at the witty, warm, and vivacious woman under the mask, but those sparks are rare.
She usually behaves as though she expects that no one will help her, and she must do everything herself. She has very few friends, at least those that one might consider Actual Friendships, but she maintains an extremely wide web of cordial relationships with all manner of the nobility.
Avrenne seeks both the path of least resistance and shortest distance to a goal, and tends to continue forward on a track once she is on it, even in the face of obvious reasons to reconsider. When these trains do sometimes derail or explode, however, Avrenne recovers and rises back up, every time. She is not afraid of setbacks, but she is terrified of real inescapable failure, and will not allow herself to truly hit that mark. She will lose many battles, but damn it, she's winning The War.
Avrenne's technique for power relies on forming connections and knowledge of others — she's not much of a gossip, and often avoids scandals by simply being as untouchable as possible. She is not a warm person in public, but she is incredibly reliable. Her word is her bond, and she does not break a promise given, sometimes to the point of great personal sacrifice.
Her knowledge of which mines produce what ore, who has a space large enough for a factory, who has the expertise for building such-and-such, is what fuels her ability to power her offerings to the Crown; she has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of every aspect of manufacturing in Azeroth and Outland. You might suspect she doesn't have a lot of, uh, other hobbies. The hobbies she does have are odd, and you have to be pretty generous on the definition for some to count.
She is known to be cautious, but unrelenting in her endeavors. She plays a long game, and her political hand is often subtle and powerful.
A few souls know her also to be motherly, both in the stern headmistress scolding way, as well as the come here, child, get your hug and hair pets way. Those who skip their meals get the scolding. Those who cry get the hug and hair pets. It's her only move.
A portrait Siamus has of Avrenne.
Since her life was uprooted for Stormwind, she has pledged her allegiance in full, and in obvious ways, to the Alliance itself. How much she truly seems loyal to the king of Stormwind is less clear, although her adamant support of the war against the Lich King made it clear that she did not consider what remained of Arthas Menethil to be her prince.
This Character Can Be Romanced
Avrenne is, as of her marriage to Siamus Fallon, a polyamorous romance. She can be romanced within the context of additional lovers only, as she will not divorce. She is not an easy romance, and she is likely to point generally flirtatious people to her husband instead of herself.
Hypothetical lovers would be a serious romance. She does not flirt and will actively repel open flirtation as part of her reputation as a Frigid Woman. Getting to the romance is usually a slow burn towards opening up the layers to the woman behind the social mask, but it can be quicker when the person is equally attracted to the public persona as much as the woman underneath it.
Avrenne is a pansexual/panromantic androsexual. She is predominantly attracted to humans.
She is attracted to passion, wit, skill, masculinity, loyalty, warmth, inventiveness, shrewdness, and dedication. She is not attracted to inconstancy, delicacy, cowardice, selfishness, stubbornness, stoicism, gullibility, or recklessness.
Passion is the most significant drive of her interest. She would be sooner attracted to a Passionate Villain than someone with an aimless or mild good heart. Passion for her can sometimes be enough to pull her interest. A deep passion that the person pursues and actively wants her support in is, however, is the surer significant draw for her.
Prone to developing feelings for those who show a passionate interest in her first, she will never initiate a lover relationship. She operates under the assumption that interest in her will easily fade, and that she is not desirable. Lovers will have to pass the math check in expressing their interest.
Avrenne is open to poly partners, once it's clear that it's intentional, and above board; ethical non-monogamy is the only option. She has the consent (and a legal binding contract stating it) of her husband for any additional lovers. Siamus is not a jealous or possessive man, and just as likely to offer his own interest to the mix to any lover of Avrenne's. She will only have children by her legally married husband, and this will impact her sexual relationships with other lovers.
As a partner, much like she is as a friend, Avrenne is another person than who she presents to the world — the warmth of her heart is more obvious, and she is more like the vivacious woman she was in her youth. She is supportive and steadfast, playful and attentive; she will both tease and flirt in her own way with her partners in ways that seem utterly unlike her public persona.
She is an independent person by her nature, not especially compatible with those who truly need to feel needed by a lover, or those who crave a level of possessiveness as a sign of romantic interest. Avrenne does not do jealousy, and will not chase after lovers who leave her. But those who will not be able to stay at her side, or her side alone, will find her to be devoted through distance and time, and not especially demanding of them beyond one single caveat: that they come back.
History
Birthday March 3rd, Year -03
Born the second daughter and third child of a long, richly historied noble Lordaeron house, Avrenne had little to occupy her as a young child beyond the benefits of her station. Raised to think herself an equal to men, she met with shocking sexism in her teens as she bloomed into young adulthood.
The fire magic that came, untrained and unexpected — after one particular heated argument with a man who wanted to be a suitor and was told 'no, thank you' in various ways until setting his cravat on fire convinced him of the seriousness of the refusal — was subsequently trained; they soon discovered, however, that she had little to no real talent in it, and was, at best, limited to parlor magic. She experiences magical blowback from all of her magic, small to big, and does not use it often, particularly not in a combat form. She has cast to the point of an extreme only once, during the Fall of Lordaeron.
The Esprits were known as a military nobility, led by Duke Esprit who had an iron, implacable fist ready to throw down to war at any time. They had several of the lands on the borders, and if you go back far enough, part of House Menethil's branches. They made their money in investments into the army, and were staunch, unwavering supporters of the crown. Second Sons were committed to the army without a single exception in an unbroken line for seven generations. They had wealth, they had class, they had the ear of the king.
Until year 20 and the changes the prince brought.
With the Fall of Lordaeron, Avrenne was one of many who lost nearly everything in it. Her family's ancestral manor, their lands, their tenants, and most of the family line itself. Avrenne was left, at age 23, the sole heir to the House of Esprit, with an odd collection of the House's faithful servants from various offshoots of the family. Unlike some who sought shelter in Stormwind, she retained the power of her name even without the lands and wealth behind them by sheer force of personality and powerful connections made early on.
She has faithfully represented her House at every turn, meddling in politics and arrangements with a surprising skill for her age. Her tactics rely on connections, both old and new, some of which she orchestrates where the young woman has been known to secure engagements between Houses that owe their union to her interference meddling gracious assistance.
In year 25, she became very publicly engaged to a young man who had long been known to be a favored suitor of hers, Joran Green, an extraordinarily wealthy, much younger man. After the engagement, Avrenne used the promise of that wealth to fund the military campaign of her House, with contracts and strategic investments, for Northrend.
Avrenne, a 5'1" woman who married a 6'1" man. That was a decision.
Unfortunately, everything changed with the MacBrides attacked — that is, when Brigitte MacBride married Joran Green in a whirlwind romance. Left without any money to back her loans, Avrenne was left holding the bag of responsibility, and the need to make a very, very wealthy match very, very soon.
She traveled to Northrend to get back her paperwork from the blackguard, and encountered a man from her past — Captain Zath Tyrrell. She decided on him for marriage, and an opening bargaining for negotiations led her to an agreement at the Thenedain Remembrance Ball to consider all her options, and she met (then) Commodore Siamus Fallon. The encounter turned out to be instrumental in the eventual engagement of Siamus and Avrenne, as the two were clearly well suited for the other — each looking for the exact marriage the other offered.
Avrenne and Zath formed their own bond as well, as did Zath and Siamus, and for a time they were lovers all. When Zath had to choose between selflessly saving a young woman, or maintain his lovers, Avrenne encouraged him to be the hero. Their breakup was amicable, and since then their friendship has grown. They might not be in bed literally, but they are still in bed politically, and Avrenne's support for the orphanage at Drakewatch and WEB remains steadfast.
On June 27th, Year 27, Avrenne and Siamus were publicly married in a Society Wedding officiated by a priest of the Light, Casker John. And then later privately more actually married in a Kul Tiran ceremony by the tidesage Brother Eli. She is now a Duchess of Lordaeron and a Baroness of Stormwind.
On March 31st, Year 28, Siamus and Avrenne's first daughter was born: Ery Blanche Arielle Parrish Esprit Fallon. (A normal number of names.)
On December 21st, Year 28, the Fallons welcomed twin sons, Elliot Simon Marius Parrish Esprit Fallon, and Eamon Shine Markell Parrish Esprit Fallon.
Relationships
Admiral Siamus Fallon
Avrenne's husband. They negotiated an ironclad contract for an unsentimental engagement of a business arrangement between a duchess of connections, sound mind, and calculus to a Kul Tiran (then) Commodore (now Admiral) with a large fortune in want of a very specific wife. They flirt in math together. She keeps track of where his teacups end up, and manages his political waters. He provides a passion for her to follow, and his ledgers give her butterflies. She loves him. |
Lady Sintha Fallon
Avrenne and her had a long history of a polite social relationship, until it became clear that Avrenne just might be the marriage that Siamus had been looking for, and the woman that Sintha was looking for her brother to have. Her sister-in-law now, Avrenne is surpassingly fond of the other woman, not the least out of appreciation for a game well played. She is enormously proud of Sintha joining the 7th Legion and the Alliance military. |
Finley Boutille
Formerly Avrenne's butler, Finley is the son of the family who were butlers for House Esprit for generations. After the Fall of Lordaeron, he became her ward, legally, as he was underage at the time. Even after he came of age, he renewed the wardship until age 25, to be under her legal, medical, and financial care. He ultimately renewed it, and is her ward in perpetuity. He has begun to cultivate his skills with speaking to people into a form of power for House Esprit Fallon, and Avrenne supports his passion for art. Their relationship is not clearly cut, something not quite a younger brother or nephew, not quite a servant and the lady of the house, not quite a friend or a peer. She loves him, clearly, but in neither direction is it romantic. |
Isla Lenaire
Avrenne's youngest ward, Isla was the daughter of the chef for House Esprit before the Fall. Avrenne rescued the young girl, only 8 at the time, along with the gardener's son Otto (10). Isla has been Avrenne's 'lady's maid,' in large part to provide Isla with some level of potential marketable skill while she grows up, although Avrenne clearly depends mostly on herself rather than the teenager. Since becoming part of House Fallon, Avrenne has encouraged Isla to follow other possible career paths that are now open to her with the full support of Avrenne's newfound wealth from her marriage to Siamus. |
Otto Renner
Avrenne’s middle ward, Otto was the son of the Esprit gardener, and a third generation staff of the noble house. Now, he is given the freedom to choose what he would like to be and do, and at the moment that seems to be following in the path of a gardener himself. |
Costentyn Shine
Formerly the first footman and butler of House Fallon, Shine is one of Siamus' closest friends, and his former lieutenant. Avrenne is fond of the man, and finds his company both stimulating and settling at once. The one-eyed marine has been part of the comfort of the House in Siamus' absence, teaching the Lady Fallon how to play carom billiards and giving her the stories of his and Siamus' youth. They play twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays in the wee hours of the night. |
Brother Eli Brisbane
Siamus' cousin and spiritual advisor as a tidesage. Avrenne holds a deep respect for the older man, particularly since his advice has so far generally aligned with her own. He officiated their real wedding in the eyes of the Tidemother. |
Ralaea Westwind
Avrenne and Siamus’ most recently added ward, Avrenne views the young woman as a mother would a daughter, seeing in her both Lordaeron and Kul Tiras descent as a reflection of House Fallon. She may often have to use her “word magic” on Ralaea to contain the chaos, but she is proud of the impulses that often guide Ralaea in principle. |
Brendol Westwind
Ralaea's younger brother, a much softer spoken and hearted young man. He likes horses and not having to remember exactly which titles do and don't apply to Siamus. Avrenne finds him adorable, and has tucked him right into her wardship circle, paperwork pending. He lived at Fallon House for a time. |
Brother Casker John
The priest of the Light who married Avrenne and Siamus officially in front of the eyes of society. He seemed a pleasant enough fellow. Avrenne holds the priests of the Light in general respect, even if she has no particular interest or feeling about the religion of the Light itself. When Avrenne burned herself in a self-made fire due to an unnaturally vivid nightmare caused by the corruption of the Emerald Dream, it was Brother Casker she sought out as the closest healer. |
Miss Annai Curran
Siamus' secretary, clerk, and notary, and something called a Thornspeaker, a Kul Tiran druid of some sort. Avrenne respects her cultivated business self and her attention to detail. |
Miss Tabiana Lynds
Formerly Harvey’s retainer, the Lordaeron woman of a long, historied House of retainers of the Morningdews has signed a contract to attach herself in that capacity to House Fallon and rebuild her House once more. She is pregnant with her first child by way of a Kul Tiran man, a parallel Avrenne views as significant. She resides in the Blue Suite in Fallon House. |
Lady Priscilla Aspenwood
A childhood friend of Avrenne's whose commitment as a pen pal through the years led to a true friendship on both sides. Priscilla is the only one allowed to call Avrenne by a nickname. In PRIVATE ONLY. The two seem almost unlikely as friends with the warm friendly woman and the cold reserved one, but clearly the friendship is mutual. Avrenne has supported Priscilla's artistic career for years, and those looking at some of Priscilla's figure sketches might recognize a certain rectangular figure. Priscilla lived at Fallon House for nearly a year before her marriage to Bertrand. Avrenne's feelings for the other woman are not entirely hetero. |
Captain Zath Tyrrell
One evening in Lordaeron in Year 15, Zath spent time with a young girl in a ballroom; his family attempted a marriage, only to have it rejected. Twelve years later that girl came back as a woman in need of a husband and selected him out of her limited options. Zath was eventually moved to vow to help her find one — it just wasn't him. They were lovers for a time, and friends now. Most would assume they are nothing more than business and political associates, with those two Frigid Creatures. |
Lady Morgauna Thenedain
An old cultivated strategic friend from the days of Lordaeron, when they were at the height of their power and prestige, and maintained through the Fall when the families fled the Scourge. Though Avrenne no longer wields the same power her house once did with all the wealth it once possessed, these two have maintained the connection between them into a genuine friendship, despite how different the two women are. Morgauna was Avrenne's Maid of Honor. |
Lady Clara Aspenwood
A mentor found by chance during the tumultuous first few years as a Lordaeron refugee arriving in Stormwind, unfamiliar with the political sphere. They have something like a friendship, although the age difference between them makes it more like a mentor/mentee than true friendship. |
Lord William Aspenwood
Duke Aspenwood’s support is part of his wife’s, and his connection to the wine industry is useful. He has a very pleasant relationship with Avrenne, and though she has not dropped her mask with him, he seems to treat her as if she has, albeit with unfailing courtesy. Avrenne treats him with cool respect in turn, and makes certain to always inquire after his latest passion projects. |
Lord Devon Tennerow
The lord of the House Tennerow. Avrenne has a cordial, polite relationship with the family. She's never called him by his first name since he took over the head of his House, but she was kinder than some might have expected when he retired from active service with his injury. Her support of Veterans in general, however, likely explained why, rather than any particular feeling for him. She seems fond of him, but it looks like friendship rather than romance. She may have been the force behind the success of his House campaign. |
Lord Xandros "Andy" Demasco
Lady Alwynneria's father. Another passing noble acquaintance, there had been some discussion among the tittle tattle of Stormwind about the potential for a match between the much older, very wealthy baron, and the currently unattached, gold poor duchess. The two have circled around each other for years as two players of the Neutral Political game. What might happen with her married to a member of the House remains to be seen. |
Lord Elohad Ference
One of the Stormwind nobles who was in Lordaeron for a time. He had some sort of philanthropic theater troupe. She attended plays that were pro-military as a show of support from the House Esprit. They did not have a private box, and she always went with a friend. She has met him a few times in public, always referring to him properly by name. She recently encountered him once more at the Thenedain ball, and met his lovely wife. She always maintains a very politically advantageously cultivated position on his mercenary company Cobalt Company. She may be the mastermind behind the suggestion to revitalize his old plays. |
Lord Kieran Lysander
Lord Lysander, of both the House of Nobles, and military advisor to the King of Stormwind is one of Avrenne's most carefully cultivated relationships. They have a mutual respect, and Avrenne's intelligence, objective observations, and cool headed nature keeps her in his good graces. They share a passion for a stronger military. |
Lord Lester Amerith
A House member who Avrenne has strategically cultivated a deliberately interesting relationship with to use it to influence the other man when she can. She is known for controlling and managing his chaos, but sometimes in such indirect ways that it's not entirely clear how she does it. She has become aware of a number of strange connections and decisions he has made. |
Lady Ekorenine Spellbond
An unlikely almost-friendship between these two, despite their very different attitudes about the responsibilities of the nobility and ruling class. They have a strong alliance, and a shared understanding of the unique challenges of raising adopted children. Avrenne is still unaware that she has been emotionally if not legally adopted by Ekorenine. The arcane mage is now part of the WEB, per Avrenne’s recommendation for a Kirin Tor trained teacher and instructor. |
Lukas Rhenardt, Lord Graves
A close acquaintance of Avrenne's father, Lord Graves was a man on her peripheral attention many years ago. Now, as a worgen, and pack leader of a prominent pack, he has become critically politically important. As a lover of Siamus’, he has become extra relevant to those interests. She is unaware of any interest he may have in her, believing that he finds her an unfortunate necessity of one of those political diplomatic types he does not enjoy dealing with. |
Lady Merelda Veyne
Zath's cousin, one of Lord Grave's pack members, and a Gilnean architect. The duchess met Lady Merelda at the Alliance diplomatic outreach, intending to begin the process of finding noble worgens to better integrate into Society. She has sent Lady Merelda supplies for her architectural portfolio rebuild, and intends to hire her for work to prove House Fallon's support, and Merelday has been hired on to design the new House Fallon Stormwind Townhouse. |
Lady Evelaine Thenedain
Morgauna's formidable mother. Avrenne is wary of the older woman, and though she maintains a careful connection, she does not pull on the lady or her network of spies. |
Lord Audric Glenarvan
One of the older, established Lordaeron nobles, they are acquainted now almost as peers, despite the age difference between them. |
Lady Lucille Moore
Priscilla's younger sister. Avrenne is much closer with the older of the Moore sisters. Avrenne was furious to learn of the truth of what happened with Lucy's ex-husband Lord Gavin Harbrooke, not because of the affairs (which was their business), but because he attempted to mortgage the house that was not his. She has been mourning the loss of her friend's sister since they heard, and handled much of the business side of arrangement for the funeral. |
Lady Cressidha Aspenwood
Avrenne regards Cressidha with the respect of a peer, and recalls her fondly. Last she heard, Cressidha had joined some mercenary company, and there was some brief, odd gossip about her fiance marrying her twin brother, which was confirmed at the wedding of it on March Year 26. The story seems to be a happy one, where Cressidha was freed from an unwanted match, and now left to pursue her desired Ph.D. in Saving The World. |
Lord Bertrand Aspenwood
Priscilla's Forever Fiance, Avrenne has a relatively warm relationship with the military man, though not one completely unmasked. She approves of his high loyalty to the Alliance military and his willingness to fight to preserve life. She does wish that Priscilla would let him remain a soldier as well as a father and husband, but she knows better than to try to argue with her friend's stubborn side. She wishes Lord Bertrand luck. |
Lord Amadeus Aspenwood
Avrenne had a passing acquaintance with the eldest Aspenwood, and had spoken to him on more than one war front as a high ranking Alliance military officer. She was grieved on behalf of the family to learn of his passing. |
Lady Halliday Tyrrell
Zath's wife, a sweet, soft young woman who needed rescue. She is a mage of some power as well, of Cobalt Company and the Kirin Tor. |
Special Investigator Gabriella Thorne
A high ranking Gilnean detective, and the second in command of the Gravehowl pack. Avrenne has sent her what support the duchess can persuade Stormwind to offer to the S.I. in the hopes of incorporating the Gilnean approach into the overall Alliance for greater unified strength. |
Lord Colson Aspenwood
There was a brief period of time where Clara and Avrenne discussed the possibility of a union of their houses through the marriage of the youngest son of the Aspenwoods, but he was deemed not enough, having with him no land or finances beyond his own personal ones. She attended his wedding to Mordecai Harbrooke. |
Lord Mordecai Aspenwood
Colson's husband, who is unusually difficult to keep track of in a ballroom. She looked away once and it was just wallpaper. |
Lady Dara Tennerow
They are well acquainted within the social sphere of Stormwind, and on good terms, though they don't often meet outside of shared social events. There might have been something going on with Avrenne's former butler, but if so, it was well brushed under the rug, and seems to be entirely on the Finley's side. |
Lady Alywynneria Demasco
A passing acquaintance within the sphere of the law, they have interacted once in particular during the early years of Avrenne's time as a refugee in Stormwind, in order to secure the guardianship of the children under her care. The lawyer was part of Mr. Morningdew's defense, and Avrenne respects her dedication to her principles. |
Lady Kenelly Ashewood
One of Lord Graves' pack members, a worgen that Avrenne met at Priscilla and Bertrand’s wedding, who Avrenne hoped to support into addressing the political difficulties of worgens within the Alliance. Kenelly’s focus shifting to a support group for worgens, means Avrenne wishes her well, but has looked to others for her political purposes. |
Lady Niris Ference
Lord Ference's wife, who Avrenne met at the Thenedain Remembrance Ball of Year 27. Lovely woman who runs a health clinic, and is affiliated with the Northshire Abbey, both excellent connections to have. |
Lord Bennarin Hazan
Lord Ference's eldest son, who Avrenne met at the Ference-Fallon Charity Gala. She's read his book, and hopes to continue the association with a prominent member of Cobalt Company. He had a recent incident with the situation of lovers and the Admiral, but Avrenne hopes to preserve the relationship as cordial, and is willing to sweep the matter under the political rug. |
Lord Arric Falrevere
Sintha's childhood friend, and a gentleman of Kul Tiras. Agreeable young man, who took in several of those needing placement in the wake of the Forsaken's invasion of Southshore and Hillsbrad. |
Sir Dane Atley
Met officially at the Alliance's Diplomatic Outreach to the Gilneans, Avrenne's been aware of the knight's presence and connection to House Ference since his knighting in Stormwind a year ago, as well as his role in the famous Cobalt Company. |
Lord Gausanders Spellbond
Ekorenine's youngest son, Avrenne has stopped Sandy's age mentally somewhere around 14 or 15, which is possibly not entirely inaccurate. She has attempted to ensure that the gossip surrounding his disappearance and the ensuing trial have been as quiet as possible, to protect his privacy. She arranged for him to have a regular visit of a trained falconer via Lester Amerith while he was recovering. |
Lady Renna Lysander
Lord Lysander's wife, Renna was a merchant daughter raised up into the nobility through her marriage, and it was very obviously a love match. Renna is Lord Lysander's one true sentimental weakness, and Avrenne knows it, and uses his own reputation for this known weakness as a reason to avoid displaying her own for Siamus. Avrenne keeps a cordial relationship with Lady Lysander, but they are not close. |
Lord Kyris Lysander
A once potential match for Avrenne that went nowhere, in no small part due to the man's complete disinterest in Avrenne as either woman or wife; they have a passing acquaintance. |
Lady Alaisa Lysander
The two women have a cordial society polite relationship. Avrenne has noted that Alaisa has a friendship with Sintha, and that her loyalties may be more personal than national. |
Lord Theris Lysander
Although it was older brother Kyris who was one of the eligible bachelors of an age with Avrenne (the family's name and line were prestigious enough to warrant a real potential for a match, but their lack of wealth ultimately meant it was not a viable one for the coffer depleted House Esprit), Avrenne was always kind to the youngest son of the Lysander family when they visited the Keep. |

Apricity Hearthleigh
An overly familiar, flirtatious man, but a Gilnean affiliated with a wool business of Gilneas. Avrenne has issued his family a promissory note to purchase from them when they are able to do so once more. |
Natalyah Kensington-Whit
Formerly of House Kensington-Whit of the Elwynn Kensington-Whits, the young woman was a promising scientific mind of the lepidopterist community, and more importantly, a friend of Lady Lucille's. Now she is a worgen, and one of those with Stormwind origins, and political connections possible therein. |
Thaniel Clay
One of the softer spoken, gentle pack members of the Gravehowl Pack, met at the Aspenwood-Moore wedding, and introduced deliberately to the Lord and Lady Ference. He has struck up a friendship with Avrenne’s ward Isla, and it has been encouraged. She has sent him an abridged version of her Floriography. |
Briellen Clay
Not yet met, but Mr. Clay's sister, who is also an acquaintance of Sir Atley's. |
Lord Eoan Westbridge
House member and priest of the Light. Avrenne has little connection to him, but she does seem to understand his general political leanings. She doesn't trust him, but she does know how he can be useful politically. |
Lord Leric Tennerow
As a supporter of the military, the middle son, Leric, is familiar with House Esprit's efforts in Northrend, but he and Avrenne have not interacted much socially beyond in passing and acquaintance. |
Lady Kalindra Azuredown
Lord Leric's quel'dorei fiancee, met at the Ference-Fallon Charity Gala. She has now become even more significant in the wake of Siamus’ sin’dorei lover Aze. |
Lady Sophiette Valonforth
The Valonforths have been a long time cordial acquaintance of House Esprit. Many years ago, Avrenne's knight, Sir Somer, trained as a squire under one of the knights of the Valonforths, before being officially knighted through the sponsorship of Avrenne's grandfather, the 7th Duke Esprit. Avrenne maintained the connection with Sophiette, respecting her name and identity. It's unclear if Avrenne has any particular feelings on the ended engagement between Valonforth and Tennerow Houses. |
Fionette Crawford
The younger, less important daughter of the The Crawfords, the proprietor of Crawford Alchemical Solutions, and member of the House of Nobles in Lordaeron. She disappeared from the society scene after the Fall of Lordaeron, although there had been rumors that she had become one of the Silver Hand trainees as a paladin. Avrenne had been better acquainted with Fionette's older sister. |
Sellaine Crawford
Avrenne found herself by necessity of Society within the greater circle of the popular, highly influential merchant’s daughter, and despite concern over time as to the young woman’s nature, maintained the friendship that had begun, remaining within the “in group” before the Fall of Lordaeron altered the circumstances irrevocably. |
Lady Aubrienna Glenarvan
Lord Glenarvan's youngest, 20. Has not yet found a match. |
Lady Caliette Glenarvan
The eldest of the Glenarvan's, there's still something to do with her unfortunate engagement to a Gilnean gentleman. |
Lord Raphe Winston
Heir to the Winton title. Something of a gentleman gambler and socialite, politically active and a support for his father's pro-Alliance, pro-military stances. |
Lady Lsyabeau Winton
The youngest Winston, priestess. |
Lady Hexera Witchblood
The youngest daughter to House Witchblood, and the least talented mage of them, who later became a warlock of all things. |
Lady Zeldanna Ambergris
One of the many social connections in the political scene. Avrenne took note of her testifying on behalf of the Aspenwoods in the Aspenwood v Harbrooke trial. |
Lord Philibert Kensington-Whit
One of the unfortunate brothers of the Stormwind KWs. There was quite a stir among the gossip when he was forcibly outed from his position as heir in favor of his younger brother, in blatant disregard for the birth order. Avrenne may have considered meddling a time or two into their affairs, for the military political benefits of the elder KW. He was engaged to Natalyah Kensington-Whit (of the Elywnn Kensington-Whits, a separate line). |
Lena Coit
One of Siamus' employees, as the warlock for his Fleet, as well as a student of Zath's, which makes her doubly important to Avrenne. She is aware of Lena's past. She's impressed Avrenne with her observational abilities, and the sense of a well-tempered ambition with caution. She has been assisting Lena in finding a suitable match and lightly steering the intent for her to consider Shine as that ideal match. |
Niksi Knockfathom
Although not yet officially introduced, Siamus has invested in her technology on behalf of the Alliance as well as the Fallon Fleet, for her expertise in ocean exploration and observation. |
Mr. Eulysses Reeve
A recent deliberate worgen and skilled sailor hired to the Fallon Fleet, formerly of the Gilnean Navy who later joined the rebellion of the Civil War, Avrenne has not yet met him, but she approves of this excellent example of integration of Gilneans back into the Alliance fold. |
Mr. Pippinlopper
One of the warlocks of WEB, he is a lecturer that Avrenne respects for his involvement in both. |
Mr. Silvestre Silentstep
The former youngest of the Sullivan family, social climbing merchants. Avrenne was better acquainted with Silvestre's elder brother Simon, who was one of the considerations for a wealthy bachelor match for the financially depleted duchess, but ultimately refused. Avrenne has begun cultivating the relationship with Silvestre into more cordial lines, for his time in the 7th Legion and 6th EU as well as his past hiring into the Fleet via Cobalt Company. He is notable now for courting Cressidha Aspenwood. |
Gellarn Revere
The squire attached to House Esprit’s knight, Sir Geoffrey Somer, he was once a playmate, and then a tragic figure falling harder every year for Avrenne’s older sister Abrielle. Everything altered when he ran away from Lordaeron to join the Gilnean loyalists pushing to withdraw from the Alliance. Sir Somer never took up another squire, and Avrenne holds a grudge against Gellarn for it. |
Jenzelle Halveris
Brendol's romantic interest, as anyone can see, and formerly of Ralaea's squad under Kaela Mondragon. A mild-mannered priestess who has some difficulty saying no to people, but clearly wants mostly to be of helpful assistance. |
Lord Harvey Morningdew
The heir to the Morningdew House, she knew him socially through the parties his military supporting family threw. Five years his senior, she was nonetheless one of the potential matches his family set their eyes on, but the House Esprit rejected the marriage proposal in a form letter. She was fond of him, and friendly then, but since his resurrection, and subsequently meeting of Mourn, she has grown colder. |
Mr. Reniya Hartrim
The father of Tabiana’s child, and possibly a tidesage? Avrenne will hold him to a commitment to some manner of support for his child, but otherwise is not invested in beyond seeing to Siamus’ interest in his nautical means of transport. |
Lathrik Dinnsfield
Harvey’s guard during the Trial, and now involved with Natalyah. She recalls him as a vague presence of a guard, and is only interested in his involvement now with investigations into Count Amerith. |
Mr. Joelle Ebek
One of the Stormwind guard, associated with Mr. Dinnsfield and Mr. Hartrim, who may have an interest in Miss Lynds. He broke into the house once, but he also brought a particularly sentimental gift of a calycanthus flower hair ornament, just as Avrenne used to have. |
Roper
She once knew him as Tibault Beringer, a pleasant young man of a well-off merchant family, and an associate of House Lysander. It turns out he was an SI:7 spy, and he is now one of the Ebon Blade death knights. Obviously not to be trusted personally, as a skilled liar, but his professional dealings with Siamus have been thus far reliable, suggesting he may have retained at least some sense of his proper place. |
Miss Adamantia
A worgen that was apparently living wild in Elwynn and has subsequently been picked up to find a place. Suffers from nightmares and sleepwalking that may be dangerous. Avrenne involved Lukas immediately in the situation to address it. |
Miss Aszera Sunstrike
One of Siamus' lovers, the Illidari and former Sunfury exists in a undefined zone. Avrenne views Aszera as a potential political problem, especially in the long term. She is not impressed by the sin'dorei's general handling of her loyalties or direction, but Avrenne will support Siamus' intended agenda regarding the woman. |
Mrs. Syarra Sunstrike
The wife of Roper, and a sin’dorei not of the Horde. Sister to Siamus’ lover, Aze. Avrenne has not yet met her. |
Chuck Silversong
One of the greatest bards in living memory, and a prize jewel of Lordaeron's cultural scene. Avrenne had no interest in the music, but the influence of the bard during the 10s-20s could not be overstated. Avrenne has met her only once or twice at social events when the singer was the entertainment. She has commissioned the bard to write a song about the lost ships of the Fallon Fleet. |
Prospector Bran Stillwall
The priest of the Light who healed Siamus at Wintergarde, one of the Stillwall brewery family. Avrenne is exceptionally grateful for his timely intervention with Siamus' health during the state of emergency after the Wrathgate. |
Nunuzac
A chance meeting acquaintance at the Fallon-Ference Charity Gala, she helped to clarify some of the political rankings of the human nobility. |
Sergeant Kerlo Quarterflash
One of Avrenne's 7th Legion acquaintances, met at the Fallon-Ference Charity Gala. He validated her choice in long range over specialized higher efficiency trebuchets. |
Lady Ravendusk/Almeiria Fey
As far as Avrenne knows, Lady Ravendusk was assassinated last year on October 3rd. Avrenne held the Lady Ravendusk in high suspicion, but was never able to uncover anything of note, political or personal. On an entirely unrelated note, Avrenne is aware of Almeiria as a key witness in Harvey Morningdew’s trial, and now of some interest of Count Amerith’s. |
Ilanya Ravendusk
A maid in the now employ of Count Amerith who was formerly of the bizarre ‘House Ravendusk.’ She has loitered around conversations Avrenne has had with Count Amerith. |
Alysson Mondragon
The nephew of Kaela Mondragon, who burned down Count Amerith’s Stormwind home, and was, apparently, removed from the Year 27 Fallon-Ference charity gala by being in too many bathtubs. Avrenne has not yet met him. |
Mrs. Underthorn
A worgen who leads a pack of Professional Ladies, Avrenne is aware of her, but they have not yet met. |
