Arthund isn't as underfed as he used to be, having filled out after a few weeks of knowing where his next meal is coming from. But when he walks into the mage quarter of stormwind in his overalls and tool belt, people assume he's a maintenance worker instead of an especially studious new member of the Kirin Tor's Academy. Someone gave him a student robe. It wound up getting grease stains when he was making more modulators. Anyway, it didn't have pockets.

Arthur Reeves is a young man-an adult, surely, but his first gray hair came in when he was fourteen. Very few strands retain the dark color he was born with.

Personality

Art is nice. And he means well! And sometimes he just winds up in trouble. But he was trying to do the right thing!

He loves reading and research. He never met a library he didn't like, and if anyone asks him about an obscure subject, if he doesn't know off the top of his head he can usually make a good guess where to find it.

And while Arthur is good and tries to do good, sometimes he forgets that just because something could be done, doesn't mean it should be done.

Arthur, however, is quiet around new people until they meet a point of common interest. He will stick by people he knows, rarely making overtures to strangers.

He's so smart. He's so dumb.

It's not like Arthur has never had a crush before. It's just that he doesn't really understand what he looks like. He knows he's pretty. He thinks he's not hot. And so he thinks interested people are just looking at the art. (GET IT? HA HA HA)

At Arthur's core, he was abandoned. As an infant. As a toddler. He's learned to be friendly. He's never learned to be vulnerable. So everything smacks straight into that friendly, oblivious wall and just—

yeah.

History

Art was born the month before his parents were trapped beyond the dark portal, left behind with his father's family. When his aunt became a less appealing marriage prospect with a child in tow, she went on a long journey from Stratholme to Stormwind with the boy—and returned to Stratholme alone.

Art knew who his family was, but the matron's letters to the Reeves went unanswered. When his magical ability became obvious, the courts sent letters to the Reeves informing them of the benefits of assigning Art to serve the Alliance. Those letters also went unanswered, as Stratholme's citizens grew sick with the plague.

And so Arthur aged out of the orphanage and tried to learn on his own, until recruitment in Cobalt Blade covered the costs of magical training as well as a stipend that keeps him fed and housed.
