RP Hooks

  • The Law — Winnie is a litigation prosecution lawyer primarily, with a focus on children, custody, and inheritance. She got her start in contract law, however, and still knows her ways around defense.
  • Children Without Homes/Families — Winnie's main focus is on trying to re-home children when possible, especially those displaced by sudden Azeroth deaths.
  • Stormwind Orphanage — Winnie is a frequent staple here, where she works with children in particular who are in flux at the orphanage who may still have some living next of kin or custody potential, and adoption paperwork.

Appearance

Winnie has always had a 'baby face,' and looked much younger than she really is. Now, as a woman in her later-30s, she finally looks like an older teenager, except on very close inspection where very faint wrinkles around her eyes give a clue to her true age. She has dusty brown hair and beige-brown eyes that look too large for her face. She is neither tall or broad, and her daintiness leads to many people mistaking her for weak. Her high-pitched, slightly nasal voice has been described as 'sheep like' and 'girlish.' Her slightly sallow complexion suggests she spends a lot of time indoors, and might not have the healthiest relationship with sleep. Her nails might confirm to most that she is both left-handed and also does a lot of work with ink. There is some minor-moderate burn scarring on her right arm, which is rarely exposed. Winnie favors feminine, frilly shirts and skirts when she's on her own, but wears rather severe, formal skirt-suits when in court.

Personality

Feisty • Pertinacious • Meek • Workaholic

ALIGNMENT: LAWFUL GOOD

Outside of a courtroom, she can seem very meek, and nervous in general. In her office, there is a sense that she feels the constant pressure of time, and even when clearly focused on the task at hand, she will often leap up to write down another stray thought or sudden realization about a completely different topic. In the courtroom, she is calm, controlled, and frighteningly competent.

At age six, a young Winnie tossed down her embroidery and took up a book on law — it was to use as a booster for getting to the top shelf for the romance books her older brothers had said she was too young to read, but all the same, when climbing proved dangerous enough to send both Winnie and the books tumbling to the ground, her father impressed upon her the significance of the book she had nearly damaged. And a love for the possibility of becoming a lawyer (and appreciation of proper ladders) was born.

The law being a tool, one that can be wielded the same as any sword both for good and evil, is what drives Winnie to get up every morning and keep fighting. A champion for the young in particular, Winnie is a fiercely intelligent woman with significant drive to right the wrongs of Azeroth, one court case at a time.

History

BIRTHDAY: APRIL 10TH, YEAR -10

Born in Stormwind to a minor house as the youngest daughter, she was projected to be nothing more than a useful marketable gambit for her family to rise in importance. Unfortunately for the marriage market, Winnie had a loving father who was more interested in his daughter's happiness than his status, and when she fell in love first with the law he supported her decision. When her passions led to her unexpectedly to a marriage at a very young age to a woman her father disapproved of, Winnie ended up leaving her home for the married life. She was widowed later, and now focuses on her work.

Winnie has gained notice and notoriety in the past few years for her part in several key trials that put her on the social map. Although her original background was in contract law, she has since proven that there isn't a side of the law that she can't manage and manage well.

Just don't ask her about hobbies or a social life, though.

Special Note: Character class of Mage is for game only. She is not a mage in any way. Her power is Lawyer.
