Patient ⬥ Dutiful ⬥ Compassionate ⬥ Permissive

The harvest-witches the populated the Ashewood barony had grown increasingly concerned about their lord's obsession with the Light and dismissal of the Old Ways. They feared that, if unchecked, he could eventually become overtly hostile to them. Clever as they were, they conspired with another cover in a neighboring fief, subtly influencing events to arrange a marriage between their lord and Lady Vianca, whose family was much more dedicated to the Old Ways.

Leor would never have been Vianca's chosen love match, but over time she did develop some affection for him. He seemed to find some pleasure in their verbal sparring matches over religious and political matters. He was happy (not that one would know it) to have a wife he could engage with intellectually, and she was satisfied knowing she could always rely on him to do what he believed was right.

Vianca understands her role well. Though not a harvest-witch herself, she believes that the Old Ways are the glue that keeps Gilnean culture alive. While she sees that there is room for the Light, she disagrees with her husband that the one must replace the other.

Vianca is a skilled herbalist and alchemist, and maintained a large herb garden in the Ashewood manor. She has tried to teach her children about the benefits and powers of the natural world. Kendyll, her eldest, has more interest in poetry and wordcraft. But her daughter, Kenelly, took well to her mother's teachings. Though Kenelly never did take up alchemy, she came to truly love her mother's traditions, and in time she was initiated into the coven of harvest-witches. Knowing that Leor would never permit his daughter to be a harvest-witch, Vianca conspired with her daughter to keep it a secret from him.

Relationships

Leor Ashewood
Leor can be difficult, but Vianca has grown accustomed to the rough edges of their relationship, even finding them somewhat endearing. She finds him adorable when she calls him her "stubborn old goat" and he gets grumpy.
Kendyll Ashewood
Kendyll is so much his own person, desperately needing to express himself in his own way. Vianca sees this, and while she is saddened that she cannot provide him much guidance on his chosen path, she supports him as best she can to give him the wings to fly.
Kenelly Ashewood
Kenelly is very much her mother's daughter. Though Kenelly believes firmly in both the Light and the Old Ways, she has a love of nature and the common people that rivals her mother's. Vianca is very proud of the woman Kenelly has become, and while she worries for her now that Kenelly has suffered the worgen curse, she has faith that her clever daughter will find her way.
