Appearance
- A devilishly handsome young high elf man. He is tall and fit, but not bulky. He has a very thin and athletic build. He has dark, medium length hair which he keeps pushed back out of his face and with a beard to match. It looks very dashing on him, but upon closer inspection, especially concerning his beard, one would notice that it isn’t actually very neatly kept. He simply chose a style for himself that looks good even when he doesn’t have the time, resources, or even simply the inclination to keep up with it. He keeps himself perfectly clean, but he has a tendency to look a bit shaggy (for an elf anyway).
Personality
- Intelligent and Studious: Taeavon has a natural affinity for learning and can always be found with his nose in a book, be it a volume at a library or his own notebook, jotting something down.
- Principled: More than anything, Taeavon is driven by a desire to help others. This behavior is heightened by his need to please those around him and romantic notions of wanting to be a hero, but in the end his heart is in the right place.
- Sentimental: He often finds himself getting caught up in romantic notions and places a lot of meaning onto things he does for others as well as the things that they do for him. He likes to help other people, but he’s careful about how he frames those actions both to them and to himself. He’s lost a lot of sleep overthinking about what exactly he might have implied over small gestures and what other people might imply by various gestures to him.
- Well-Mannered: Manners were driven into him all his life by his mother who has done everything she can to make sure Taeavon doesn’t fall prey to his father’s old vices. He thinks of himself as something of a rebel simply because he has elected to maintain a more casual air while he continues to treat everyone with the same respect he was taught to.

History
- Taeavon is the son of Thuraniel Wintersun, an archmage of the Kirin Tor, and Doriyen Noonshade, a disgraced noble turned adventurer sellsword. He had a happy, albeit strict, upbringing in Dalaran. His father was a notorious womanizer before he settled down and married Thuraniel, and she was determined to ensure that Tae did not turn out the same way.
- He went to school at the Violet Citadel where Thuraniel works as a professor and studied magic alongside Lyndis Whitevale, the daughter of one of Thuraniel’s colleagues and personal friends. The two of them became good friends and eventually fell for one another. Magic wasn’t Tae’s true passion, however, and he wanted to live a life of excitement and adventure like he heard from his father’s stories. So they allowed him to go to Quel’Thalas to train with the Farstriders for ten years, and when he returned he became a ranger for the Kirin Tor, patrolling the wilderness keeping the law and hunting down criminals when needed.
- All in all he lived quite the happy and peaceful life, but all of this changed after the Third War when Dalaran was destroyed and his father was killed by the Scourge in Quel’Thalas. Taeavon idolized his father and his death was very hard on him. And not only that, he found himself being drawn further and further from Dalaran to fight back against the Scourge, meanwhile Lyndis remained inside the bubble helping to rebuild the city. After several months of the two drifting further and further apart, they decided to cut things off. Without the comfortable lives they had before the war, they found they had little binding them together.
- When the Alliance and Horde prepared to wage war against the Lich King in Northrend, his itch for adventure came up once again. He joined the military with the Silver Covenant and ventured forth to protect Azeroth and become the hero he always wanted to be growing up.
Relationships
| Thuraniel His overbearing mother. He loves her and appreciates the effort she and his father have put into helping him succeed in life, but no matter what he does he feels like he is always coming up a little short. With the weight of both of their accomplishments looming over him, he fears that he may not be good enough to live up to their expectations. |
| Captain Silverbloom His commanding officer in the joint company of the Sentinels and the Silver Covenant. He deeply admires her determination and strength and is coming to find he is quite fond of the woman underneath as well. |
| Kalindra Taeavon knows Kalindra from his years training with the Farstriders as a boy. He trained at the Azuredown Lodge and met her there. He found the image of a beautiful female elf knight to be striking and had a tendency to follow her around. |
| Ranneowyn His older half-sister. His father would take him along with him to Quel'Thalas at least once a year to see one of her performances. He always loved going, and was impressed and proud to see that his sister was doing such great things. |
