Shaldira is a tall, thin woman with pale, pink skin and sea-blue hair.
Born about a century and a half before the Sundering, Shaldira's love for the goddess moved her to study at the temple of Lathar'Lazal near her home city of Zoram. She prayed every day for the protection of her city and of her elder sister, Fyrdriel. Shaldira always admired Fyrdriel and begged her to teach her how to fight, but she was reluctant to do so as she did not want her precious little sister to be tempted to join her on the battlefield should something happen. Something happened, and with the War of the Ancients raging across the world, Shaldira often had no choice but to take to the battlefield. She used her magic to protect herself and others as best as she could, but without the aid of the Kaldorei resistance, namely the swordmaster Haladar Wildstrike, she would have perished long before the war's end.
With the war finally over, Shaldira asked her new mentor, Haladar, if he would help her track down and reunite with her sister. He agreed and eventually they made their way to Darkshore where Haladar and Fyrdriel met and fell madly in love with one another. Shaldira, happy to see her sister and teacher bonded together, tried to think of what she wished to do in the new society her people were making for themselves. In the end, inspired by the actions of the Kaldorei Resistance, she chose to join the Watchers where she uses her skills both as a priestess and as a warrior in order to protect her people and prevent another tragedy from befalling them.
After millennia of hard work and dedication she managed to earn the title of warden. Now with her position firmly cemented and Azeroth once again beset on all sides with foes from the Third War up to the present, she searches for more faithful Kaldorei who might take up the mantle with her and protect their people from the shadows.

| Velrin "Fyrdriel's new protégé. She speaks very highly of her skill. I, for one, am not fooled by her true intentions concerning her interest in the girl, but she did not lie about her aptitude for being a Watcher, that much is certain. Her work in Felwood and Shadowmoon would have been impressive for someone ten times her age and with twice the resources. I may just have to take sister's advice in bringing her under my wing. I know that she has been at a loss with her recently. |
