Competent ⬥ Inquisitive ⬥ Protective ⬥ Secretive

Moirin's real surname isn't Meade. What it is is none of your business.

Not quite a decade ago, her father was hanged in Stormsong for piracy, and Moirin and her mother fled the shame and notoriety of his name (the public version of the story) or certain of his unsavory former colleagues who were aggressively curious about some mislaid loot (the true version of the story). They sought anonymity in the bustling throngs of Boralus, but soon learned that the world's largest port city is maybe not the best place to hide from pirates.

After one too many frightening close calls, teenaged Moirin took matters into her own hands; she left her mother hiding in their rented rooms and marched herself down to the Proudmoore Fleet's docks in search of a Hero. When she asked the first marines she saw whom she should speak to about pirates, they pointed her to a young captain whose ship — the Wind-wise — was currently in harbor. Captain Fallon had begun making a name for himself as a pirate hunter, and his star was on the rise.

He was also handsome, a factor equally important to a sixteen-year-old girl. Moirin had found her Hero.

Unsavory characters are slippery, however, and do not always hang out in large groups awaiting arrest. Captain Fallon's capture of two ships considerably thinned the herd of Moirin's late father's associates, but did not eradicate them entirely. The Captain, gallant that he was, suggested they might find refuge safer than Boralus — on the mainland, where his family held land in Stormwind. Moirin gladly accepted.

Her loyalty to House Fallon is wholehearted and absolute. Recently promoted from housemaid to housekeeper, she is a briskly competent young lady who makes it her business to know everything about everything happening in the House, even when those things are none of her business. She would never use that information for evil, would definitely use it for the House's good, and might occasionally use it for mischief. If you want something done around Fallon House and aren't sure who to ask, ask Moirin. Moirin can and will do it all.

NB: It's pronounced roughly "Maureen."

Relationships

Admiral Fallon
Her employer and hero. Sometimes when one lives with one's hero for a decade or so, one learns that said hero is in fact a baffling, absentminded workaholic who somehow manages to leave teacups under his desk or on the stairs, and also a gentleman whose reckless personal life means his office sometimes needs additional cleaning. It's okay. Heroes can be people too.
Her Grace the Duchess Esprit, Lady Fallon
A noblewoman of Lordaeron whose marriage to the Admiral brought the mainland prestige of House Fallon more in line with what Moirin feels is its due. She has proved an ideal companion to and tempering influence on his lordship, for which Moirin admires her extremely; she had sort of doubted that was possible. Moirin has had to find far fewer stray teacups since Her Grace's arrival. The office continues to require extra cleaning.
Lady Sintha
Admiral Fallon's sister, and Moirin's role model when it comes to being in other people's business; Moirin occasionally collects information for her about various houseguests. Does an excellent front as a silly miss. Astonishing sweet tooth; Moirin keeps her bedroom stash of macarons and tiny cakes stocked.
Shine
Former lieutenant of the Wind-wise, and thus kind of an adjunct hero; later first footman of Fallon House, and thus kind of a supervisor. Now just a friend of the House, and something like an older brother to Moirin. He's not belowstairs any longer, but he'll still take coffee with them in the kitchen and he knows some very fine gossip.
Miss Coit
Joined the fleet to do fel magic for them, and so impressed the Admiral that she now lives at Fallon House like family. Kind but watchful; she was born common and seems uncomfortable having servants. Allegedly comes from an unusual background for a lady; Moirin is very stern in seeing it isn't gossiped about among the staff. Shine has his eye on her.
Miss Westwind
Originally a guest, now a ward of the House. Insists on sleeping in a tent in her bedroom, which is bizarre but hilarious. Leaves odd things under her bed. Only drinks milk. Nice in a sort of tomboyish, uncombed way. Her Grace is attempting to reform her; if anyone could do it, it would be Her Grace, but Moirin is not entirely sure it can be done.
Miss Curran
His lordship's assistant. Terrifying, but a good person to have on your side. But terrifying.
