Traditional ⬥ Protective ⬥ Serious ⬥ Just

Leor Ashewood He inherited his title at fourteen years old, having lost both of his parents to the same illness that was ravaging the people of his barony. That first crisis, which lasted years before he managed to contain it, squashed any glimmer of cheer left in an already very serious boy.

As an adult, Leor grew into a stern and uncompromising lord. The ways of nobility had been established for a reason, and he would not be the fool who would damage that proud tradition. Though a hard man, he is a fair one. He may not be especially beloved by his people, but he is trusted to protect them and see justice done when called for.

Leor is a devoted adherent of the Light, and considers the Old Ways to be peasant superstition. He permits the practice, but never attends Old Ways celebrations or rituals.

Baron Ashewood took the loss of Gilneas very hard. With no fief or people to steward, he feels aimless. He focuses on his family, working to keep the bloodline strong in preparation for the day they might reclaim their homeland.

Leor is grateful that most of his family escaped the worgen curse. He saw those creatures slaughter and infect his people, including his own beloved daughter. He has a difficult time seeing the worgen as anything but monsters.

Quirks

  • Leor is not in favor of keeping pets, other than hunting dogs.

Relationships

Vianca Ashewood
Leor's marriage to Vianca was an arranged affair. He has always found her to be a suitable wife and a loving mother to his children. While they are more like allies than lovers, he respects her wisdom, even in spite of her faith in the Old Ways.
Kendyll Ashewood
Leor worries about his eldest child and heir apparent. Kendyll is bright, but soft, preferring to wield a pen over a sword. Leor has tried to teach him that poetry will not keeps the hordes (or Horde) at bay, but Vianca has been so permissive over the years that it may be a battle Leor cannot win.
Kenelly Ashewood
Leor loves his daughter dearly; she was the one chink in his armor. But after she was cursed, he began to keep her at arm's length. She insists she can still be of use to the family, so he is on the lookout for marriage prospects, however unlikely that seems to him now.
