Admiral Jes-Tereth, stationed in Stormwind Keep, is the Stormwind fleet commander and the official liaison of the Stormwind Admiralty with the Crown. She officially captains the ship Wind's Redemption, but her duties at present are almost entirely ashore.
Daughter of Stormwind knight Lanimir Jes and his wife, Kul Tiran merchant captain Anice Tereth, Lelah Jes-Tereth was born a daughter of both the military and the sea. When she was a girl, her father — serving under the command of Anduin Lothar — was killed during the first orcish invasion. She fled the fall of Stormwind with her mother, and they sought refuge first in Lordaeron and then in her mother's homeland of Kul Tiras. After the liberation of Stormwind, she and her mother returned to that kingdom, and Lelah joined the Alliance navy under the command of Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore. She had risen through the ranks to Admiral by the time of the Third War.
Her loyalty to Stormwind and the King are unquestioned, and she was not present for the battle at Theramore that resulted in the Grand Admiral's death. In the aftermath, she remained a politically palatable figure and one of the few skilled naval commanders left in Stormwind. She was given full command of the Stormwind fleet, all that remained of the once-formidable Alliance navy.
Please note that canonically, Jes-Tereth has no first name and nothing is known of her background. The first name and background given here are purely invented/speculative for the purpose of guild canon.
Jes-Tereth currently exists in-game as a background figure, but does not become an active character in the game's story until the Mists of Pandaria expansion.
