Lady Evelaine is the formidable widow of the late Count Devlin Thenedain. Though common born, she has more than proven she can play the games of the nobility, usually far better than those of noble blood. She became famous for her lavish parties — and those she favored were invited to the especially luxurious events. Of course, the more outlandish the parties, the more dirty secrets Evelaine was able to gather. "Secrets are currency" was her motto, and she valued them far more than gold.
A cunning and ruthless woman, she forged alliances and brought down rivals, establishing the Thenedain family as a mercantile powerhouse in the north. When Stormwind fell, she seized on opportunity and began extending the house's influence into the south as well. That foresight proved a brilliant move in time when Lordaeron itself was lost, and House Thenedain needed a new home.
Now Evelaine's daughter, Morgauna, is fully grown and has taken her rightful seat as the Countess Thenedain. Lady Evelaine continues to advise her daughter; her scheming hand is pulling strings in nearly every act of the house.
