(2024-04-07) It's a Morale Thing (S13 E9 - White Squad Log) — In an effort to prove themselves for the assault on Icecrown Citadel, White Squad steps up to the tournament challenge. They square off against some champions of both the Horde and the Argent Crusade, plus a surprise bonus contender.
(2024-03-31) The Ghost and the Heart (S13 E8 - Blue Squad Log) — Thassarian sends Blue Squad to assist a demolitions team in trying to tunnel into Icecrown Citadel. Blue Squad falls down a hole. Brannagen reacts like a normal person. Cressidha's panic is on the inside. Fial'el keeps everyone warm like a good baby phoenix. They meet a ghost boy. Everyone works together to reassemble a Horde demolisher and no one even crashes it. A containment box seems to be a great place to keep the frozen heart of (potentially) the Lich King. ~7k words.
(2024-03-31) Knockin' on Horror's Door (S13 E8 - White Squad Log) — White Squad finishes helping the Alliance secure Aldre'thar (the Desolation Gate), and begins the effort to sabotage defenses at Corp'rethar (the Horror Gate). Thassarian is exasperated. Rae continues not to get figures of speech.
(2024-03-30) New Steed — Dane encounters Mordecai training at the Argent Tournament and Mordecai gets some advice about horses. Mordecai, who considers himself an easily startled prey animal, can relate. ~2000 words and straight to Cute Jail.
(2024-03-24) To the Tournament (S13 E7 - Blue Squad Log) — The Argent Tournament is being set up! Sir Dane Atley rallies 'everybody in this room' to come compete amongst the best of the best. Mordecai doesn't think he's supposed to be included in that, but he tags along anyway. Jousting lessons ensue. Dane helps the instructors teach the squad. Bran is excited to hit things with a BEG STECK!! Colson has not trained his jousting or throwing javelins since Classic, but he's still earning his solid B+ average. Nobody dares to try and convince Auralind to ride a quel'dorei steed. Cressidha has no idea what she's doing, but is not one to back away from a challenge, even if rotating the lance forty-five degrees does not help. Afterwards, Dane and Auralind have a discussion. ~10k words.
(2024-03-24) The Black Knight of... Westfall? (S13 E7 - White Squad Log) — White Squad arrives at the Argent Tournament and are immediately tasked with a massive FedEx quest. I mean, investigation. They have questions about Crusader Rhydalla's methods.
(2024-03-17) They Are Your Friends (S13 E6 - White Squad Log) — Three members of White Squad plus bonus Mordecai join the assault on the Ymirheim vrykul, to help clear the way for the Alliance advance on the Horror Gate, which sounds fine. Mordecai and Rae make a new friend. Oh wait no. Whoops.
(2024-03-17) Stratholme In Blood and Honor (S13E6 - Blue Squad Log) — The Bronze Dragons call in Cobalt Company to deal with the latest in the Time War -- a pivotal moment of history that defined and shaped Prince Arthas' path. But the prince isn't the only one who must contend with the choices of that day, as Dane revisits his own past with his stalwart companions at his side, including a Knight of the Silver Hand, who has vowed to stand beside Sir Atley through any battlefield. 8700~ words.
(2024-03-13) Naxxramas: The Plague Quarter — Dane, Vond, Etone, Caspis, Cressidha, Lena, and Ralaea kill Noth the Plaguebringer and burn a fungal underground chamber. Dane gives the Barlowes' regards to Noth. Cressidha, Lena, and Etone set things on fire. Ralaea doesn't know how fast the moon turns. Caspis doesn't know that he's creaky as a tree. Mr. Bigglesworth has done nothing wrong and survives - for now. ~7500 words.
(2024-03-13) Naxxramas: The Construct Quarter — The second order of business for the combined forces assault against Naxxramas after addressing the pest control (read: spiders) issue, is to take on the abominations barring the 7th's way through the necropolis. Valuable lessons are learned about which giant constructed abominations have poor peripheral vision (Patchwerk), and which ones have all too good peripheral vision and a giant puncture weapon to back it up (Grobbulus). 4k~ words.
(2024-03-13) Naxxramas: The Arachnid Quarter — The 7th Legion sets out to take the dread citadel of Naxxramas, beginning with the Arachnid Quarter. This strike team consists of Argent Crusader Vond Satterly and Cobalt Company members Jocoza, Mordecai, Brannagen, Colson, Iphindra, Alysson, Velrin, and Gwenivene. Four of them are redheads, but only two of them are healers. There are a very normal amount of spiders in the Arachnid Quarter. Vond experiences Maximum Light. Alysson has a snack. Velrin makes a new friend. ~9100 words.
(2024-03-10) Where He Stabbed You (Post Squad) — Following Blue Squad's Sunday job taking of the Shadow Vault, Colson returns home to his priest, to get clean of both the Scourge bits as well as the lingering paladin guilt of failing to save another fallen paladin. 2700~ words.
(2024-03-10) The Shadow Vault (S13 E5 - Blue Squad Log) — Blue Squad assists the Ebon Blade in whittling away at the Lich King's strengths, by taking out his Super Tower Eyeball (with a gun and some eagle birds, sorry that you didn't think of it first, Tolkien), and then depriving the Scourge of both their stronger undead (with a not-at-all-sketchy controlling rod and Cressidha's unfailing charm) and would-be-elite-champions (with the cunning use of flags). Auralind takes an early day, and Dane gets to issue a decree for a duel of a vrykul thane. 9k-ish words.
(2024-03-10) It's a Figure of Speech, Rae (S13 E5 - White Squad Log) — White Squad joins the Skybreaker's assault, and takes on the Cult of the Damned at the Desolation Gate. Who names these places? They struggle with some sketchy ethics, and Rae struggles with metaphors. There is a very slim chance Ben's spit might be harvested to raise some sort of spit-abomination. It seems pretty slim, though.
(2024-03-09) Mutual Friends — After his Dalaran conversations with various members of Cobalt, Siamus Fallon returns to the fleet, and checks in with Sil Silentstep about the upcoming action.
(2024-03-07) Shared History, Common Loyalties — Following his meeting with Niksi Knockfathom in Dalaran, Siamus Fallon encounters Dane Atley. They trade some reminiscences and some opinions over drinks. They may disagree about death knights, but nobody likes Jaina Proudmoore.
(2024-03-03) This Cauldron Can Fit So Many Ghouls In It (S13 E4 - Blue Squad Log) — Blue Squad gets to work with an old 'friend', Thassarian, to try and break the Lich King's hold over Mord'rethar, the Death Gate. Brannagen tests an explosive formula. Auralind wants to remind everyone that we should not become the baddies. Immediately after her warning, Cressidha becomes a necromancer. Dane and Colson collect spines. This episode is sponsored by GLACIAL BAGS. 22 slots, large enough to fit five giant spines in them, rescue one from your guild bank today. ~7700 words.
(2024-03-03) The Light Does Not Abandon Its Champions (S13 E4 - White Squad Log) — White Squad is tasked with a personal favor for Highlord Tirion Fordring: the salvation of a truly noble soul. There is a lot of discussion about the Highlord's priorities and who gets deemed a truly noble soul, and maybe some speculation about Awfully Good Friends.
(2024-02-27) Legion Lass — Sintha Fallon drops in on Cobalt Company's Dalaran HQ to say thanks for, you know, doing that horrific battlefield cleanup thing and all. Brannagen keeps asking questions he regrets the answers to. Nunuzac learns about multiple meanings of 'vice' and gets to keep a hat probably. Lucy has joined an underground fighting ring. Lena just dropped in for a drink and some conversation and may be regretting that.
